This is a very easy achievement.

Start a 5 lap race at any track on any difficulty you like once you have started the race press

and then

once and their are the different tyre options each lap press to set a tyre option. Repeat this for the first 3 laps using different tyre compounds each lap.

The different Tyre Compounds are:
Ultrasoft
Hypersoft
Medium
Supersoft
Wet
Intermediate

This achievement would easily be doable through progression throughout the career at some point this is just if you are trying to purposely get the achievement.

super thumbs up for you sir... I thought it meant that I had to finish 4 different races with each compound... not one race with all 4!!!

Having said that /\... I can't get it to pop or advance passed 50%... I was doing France, used Soft, Supersoft, Ultrasoft and Intermediate. First time I ended up getting lapped, so I assumed this was the problem, second time I finished 20th and again it didn't pop, third time I actually won the race and still nothing... any ideas what I might be doing wrong here?

You need to use wet and intermediate as well.

I must have done this following this guide at least 6 or 7 times and I know it works cos I've seen people doing exactly the same in YouTube videos... but still it won't unlock or even advance passed 50%... I am really stumped

@Beatmosh I had the same problem mine was stuck at 50%. Here is what I did set the race length to 25% and pick Suzuki short it will be a 13 lap race and laps are about 46 seconds. I then pitted each lap putting on all 6 different tires I ended up going 4 laps down but the achievement still unlocked for me so getting lapped isn't the problem. I couldn't get this to unlock with only a 5 lap race as you don't have enough time to change every tire since you can only pit once per lap. Solution should really be updated to include that 5 laps are not enough

Can confirm 5 laps are enough, I just got it on 5 laps on Canada, and I was lapped once. If I had to guess, one thing I suspect might be an issue for some is the location of the pits on certain tracks. In Canada, since pits are at the end of the race, even if you get lapped, you do get to go into the pits and change tires before race ends

As above, I can also confirm it can be done in 5 laps on Canada. I set the AI driver level to very easy and also turned rules and flags off to give myself a chance to catch up.

If your struggling, set ERS mode to Manual and then make sure you put it in mode 5(Hotlap) for the whole race. That is the fastest engine mode and it makes a huge difference! You can also turn the fuel to Mix 3 but you will have to turn this off on your final lap on the back straight or you will run out of fuel.

I went Hypersoft - Supersoft - Intermediate - Ultrasoft for the achievement.

Got the achievement and finished 10 seconds behind 19th place. Never got lapped.

Yes, got this first time on Canada in a 5 lap race with easy AI. Finished almost a minute adrift at the back of the pack but who cares.

I’ve done this about 5 times now and am still at only 25% achievement progress. Do you have drive into the pits between each lap? If so, that’s kind of an important thing to add to the guide. Just hitting LB then B and selecting a tire compound doesn’t seem to do anything towards the achievement.
