How to unlock the Patent pending achievement

    Actions
    A "clean lap" in Time Trial is one that is not invalidated by any of the following:

    > Putting 4 wheels off the track.
    > Making heavy contact with the walls.
    > Using Flashbacks.
    > Invalidating the final corner(s) of the previous laps.

    The shortest track in F1 2018 is Suzuka Short but any track will do for this Achievement.


    When you load up the track you will be in the pit garage.

    From here head to the Setup Screen, look up the Leaderboards and scan the "Custom Setup" column.

    Once you find a user who has a "Yes" in this column, select them and choose "Use Rival Setup".

    After this, head to the track and complete your lap.

    erod550Just a little note that probably should have been obvious to me but if you load the rival setup and then while out on the track use the B menu to tweak a setting for that other achievement, you are technically no longer using the rival setup anymore and the achievement will not pop. You’ll have to return to the pits and load the setup again and then do a lap without adjusting it to get the achievement.
