  You can simply wait until the end of Chapter 2 and you'll be rewarded with a Legendary sword. Equip it and the achievement pops.
  
  You shouldn't worry about finding Legendary gear. You'll get plenty of it when you start killing cultists after finishing Chapter 3.

  Legendary items are in gold/yellow. Once obtained one simply equip it, can be either weapon or Armor.
  
  My first one was Rewarded through the completion of Chapter 2 `The Wolf Hunt` which was a legendary sword

  *** Spoiler - click to reveal *** Nikolaos`s sword Level 10 190dps

  which took under 5 hours which included exploration and side quests.
  
  Apparently can be acquired through - Quests, Merchant Purchases and Drops.

  Bracers of Theseus - Arms Level 11 53 armor - Meurios the Lucky Drunk
  Nikolaos`s sword - Sword Level 10 190dps - Complete Episode 2
  Artemis`s bow - bow level 13 245 dps - complete `the daughters of artemis` Quest
  Scaled Torso - Torso Level 12 100 armor - complete `snake in the grass` Quest
  Griffins Scythe - spear Level 14 319 dps- Atalanta the Patricidal
  Spartan War Hero Armor - Torso Level 14 140 armor - ???

  I've equipped 2 legendary items so far and still no achievement. All other achievements have popped fine so far but not this one.

  To get this achievement early you can buy a legendary armor set from the Ubisoft Club (need to sign-up from the game menu).
  
  Press start and then Left on the D-Pad to get to the Main Menu and select Ubisoft Club. From here you can buy Ezio's Roman Armor set (FREE at the time of writing). The only requirement is that your character is at Level 4.
  
  Next go to the Inventory screen to equip the entire armor set (Ezio's Roman Hood, Vambraces, Robe, Sash, Boots & Milanese Sword).
  
  Doing this also unlocks:
  

  The Fashion's Creed achievement in Assassin's Creed Odyssey worth 17 pointsEquip a Legendary Armor set.

  
  

  The I am Legend achievement in Assassin's Creed Odyssey worth 34 pointsEquip 1 Legendary melee weapon and 5 Legendary armor pieces.

  The Ezio Roman set is only available during the free weekend so it is locked for me.

  That set of armor no longer appears to be available for free, but the "Northern Traveler" (aka Viking) legendary set is now free, and equipping it gives you the same three achievements.
