What heroes should we run?McCree, Soldier: 76, Torbjörn, and Zenyatta.
I've seen alternate suggestions, such as Hanzo instead of Soldier: 76 and Ana instead of Zenyatta, but this is the safest/easiest comp. Also this guide will be mostly be written with the those 4 in mind.
Wave by Wave StrategyThis is a strategy from the Survivor achievement which involves surviving 4 bonus waves in expert. Therefore, you can be more lenient on compositions and strategies.
Also, Symmetra's rework changed the Summoner's moveset. The strategy that I present here may not be the best one to take care of her. If you have a better strategy, feel free to comment down below.
Wave 1 (x1 Reaper)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***Get in position. Torbjörn should build his turret to the raised platform to the right of the door, McCree should take care of the stairs, Soldier: 76 should be in front of the door, and Zenyatta should be on the raised platform to the right with the turret.
Spend the first part of the wave building up your ultimates.
0:17 The Reaper
Everyone should focus him. McCree can use Deadeye if he wants as he'll be able to build it back up quickly.
The Reaper: Deny Wraith Form
If you're able to bring down The Reaper's health fast enough, he will not go into Wraith Form.
The Reaper: Zenyatta Orbs
Discord The Reaper as soon as he spawns in. When he Wraiths, Discord will be taken away. Place it back on him as soon as he gets out of Wraith.
Harmony the ally he is targeting.
The Reaper: Biotic Field
Place Biotic Field down once The Reaper comes out of Wraith Form. The person being targeted should stay in and the other 3 should spread out a bit more.
Wave 2 (x3 Shock Tires)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:44 Shock-Tire
Shock-Tire: Priority
Shock-Tires should be prioritized when they are announced. Discord it, Helix Rocket, and just make sure it's goes down, especially in the early rounds. Door health will be vital later.
0:34 Shock Tire
0:24 Shock-Tire
Wave 3 (x1 Junkenstein's Monster & x1 Shock-Tire)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:41 Junkenstein's Monster
McCree should Deadeye after he sees that the Monster isn't going after him. Zenyatta should Discord him and Harmony any ally he tries to attack. Everyone should focus him. Torbjörn can use Molten Core if he wants.
Junkenstein's Monster: Take A Breather
Take A Breather reduces the amount of damage Roadhog takes by 50%. Be careful when using Deadeye while Take A Breather is active. Try to use it in between healing or right after he tries to hook someone (but make sure to use it).
If your team is attacking him while he is healing, you will more than likely see his health not go down because of this bonus.
Attacking him during the cutscene (which only happens the first time) will make the Monster use Take A Breather and McCree's Deadeye can unleash its full fury.
Junkenstein's Monster: Blocking the Hook (Zenyatta)
Since Zenyatta is on the raised platform, if you see that the Monster is coming after you, crouch and hug the back wall. If the Monster tries to hook you, he will miss.
0:39 Shock-Tire
Wave 4 (x1 Dr. Junkenstein & x1 Shock-Tire)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:46 Dr. Junkenstein
Discord, High Noon, and focus him down. Note that this is the only wave Dr. Junkenstein spawns by himself.
0:39 Shock-Tire
Wave 5 (x2 Reaper & x1 Shock-Tire)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:49 The Reaper
Discord, High Noon, and focus him down.
0:41 Shock-Tire
0:32 The Reaper
Discord and focus him down. Torbjörn can use Molten Core if he wants, but you want to let him build it back up if he does.
McCree should move down with Zenyatta.
Wave 6 (x1 Summoner & x3 Shock-Tire)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:47 The Summoner
McCree should High Noon once the Summoner moves in front of her barrier or the barrier times out. Soldier should move in front of the barrier when a Shock-Tire is called out to try and take it out. The rest of the team should be ready to destroy the tire if it crosses the barrier.
0:42 Shock-Tire
0:32 Shock-Tire
0:23 Shock-Tire
As soon as the Summoner is down, everyone should return to their original positions.
Wave 7 (x2 Junkenstein's Monster)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:49 Junkenstein's Monster
Discord, High Noon, Focus Down.
McCree should come down to at least the base of the stairs and help with the Monsters once he High Noons.
0:32 Junkenstein's Monster
Discord, Molten Core, Focus Down
Junkenstein's Monster: Whole Hog
Not killing the Monster fast enough could mean he has his ultimate. As soon as he uses it, Zenyatta should use Transcendence and McCree should try to Flashbang him.
Soldier: 76 and McCree should go to the left stairs, McCree to High Noon and Soldier: 76 to protect him, and Torbjörn and Zen should be in their usual spots.
Wave 8 (x1 Witch, Junkenstein's Monster and Dr. Junkenstein)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:47 The Witch, Junkenstein's Monster and Dr. Junkenstein
Discord the Witch, McCree should High Noon, and Torb should use Molten Core
Once the Witch is dead, focus down the Monster. Torbjörn should already be hammering away at him, although not literally with his hammer.
Once the Monster is dead, Soldier: 76 should focus down all the Zombardiers and the rest of the team should focus down Dr. Junkenstein.
Wave 9 (x3 Reaper & x1 Shock-Tire)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:49 The Reaper
Discord, High Noon, Focus Down
0: 40 Shock-Tire
0:38 The Reaper
Discord, Molten Core (after Wraith), Focus Down. Make sure the Shock-Tire doesn't slip past..
0:25 The Reaper
Discord and Focus Down
Everyone should then get in positions for the next Summoner wave.
Wave 10 (x2 Summoner & x3 Shock-Tire)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:55 The Summoner
Deal with this Summoner like the first.
0:43 Shock-Tire
0:35 The Summoner
The Summoner's Barriers do not stack on one another, they will leave a gap in between them. Use Molten Core if both Summoners are still alive.
0:33 Shock-Tire
0:23 Shock-Tire
Everyone should return to their original positions
Wave 11 (x2 Junkenstein's Monster & x1 Shock-Tire)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:48 Junkenstein's Monster
Discord, High Noon, Focus Down
0:39 Shock-Tire
0:31 Junkenstein's Monster
Discord, Molten Core, Focus Down
Soldier: 76 and McCree to the left and Zenyatta and Torbjörn in their original positions.
Wave 12 (x1 Witch, Junkenstein's Monster, Dr. Junkenstein & x2 Shock-Tire)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:54 The Witch, Junkenstein's Monster, Dr. Junkenstein
Discord, High Noon, Molten Core
Focus Down the Witch, Junkenstein's Monster first and then have Soldier: 76 focus Zombardiers and the rest of the team focus Dr. Junkenstein.
0:39 Shock-Tire
0:26 Shock-Tire
Bonus Wave 1 (x3 Reaper & x2 Shock-Tire)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:45 The Reaper
Discord, High Noon, Focus Down
0:41 Shock-Tire
0:35 The Reaper
Discord, Molten Core, Focus Down
0:27 Shock-Tire
0:26 The Reaper
Discord and Focus Down
His entrance will probably be masked by the Shock-Tire
Get in position for the Summoners next wave.
Bonus Wave 2 (x2 Summoner & x5 Shock-Tire)
Bonus Wave 3 (x3 Junkenstein's Monster)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:48 Junkenstein's Monster
Discord, High Noon, Focus Down
This Monster will most likely not go down before the second one spawns, but should go down before the wave ends.
0:36 Junkenstein's Monster
Discord, Molten Core, and Focus Down
This Monster will most likely not go down before the next one spawns, but should be close to going down before the wave ends. Try and keep the Monsters close together for Molten Core.
0:26 Junkenstein's Monster
This Monster may bleed into the next wave and you'll more than likely be busy with the previous Monster. Try to spread out a bit more while still taking down the Monster.
Bonus Wave 4 (x2 Witch, Junkenstein's Monster, and Dr. Junkenstein & x1 Shock-Tire)
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***0:55 The Witch, Junkenstein's Monster, and Dr. Junkenstein
Deadeye, Discord, and Focus the Witch, but don't give your life away. Focus the Monster from the previous round, using any ultimates to take it down. and survive.
0:37 Shock-Tire
Pray your door has enough health to survive (or you can take it down).
0:35 The Witch, Junkenstein's Monster, and Dr. Junkenstein
35 more seconds. Just survive and watch out for the door if it's low. Zombardiers will be your focus, since they're easy to take out and do high DPS.
Bonus Wave 5 (x1 Achievement)
Here's a video of me doing the run with randoms. We don't use the run described above since it's with randoms, but this should help give you an idea of how hectic it can get.
Here is a video of the described strategy. Note that this is last year, so the Summoner will be different, and that it's on expert, so your attempts should be easier.
