The harder part of this will be getting the money. The easiest and fastest way is to use treasure maps to find gold bars. You won't be able to do this until you begin chapter 2 and can roam freely. Each bar is worth $500 at a fence, which is unlocked after completing "The Spines of America" with Hosea.

I used the Poisonous Trail maps (4 bars) and the Jack Hall gang maps (2 bars). Each set has 3 maps you have to follow in order to find the treasure. I also used the strange statues puzzle for another 3 bars. That will give you a total of $4500. See the not-my videos below for how to find these.

Also, just southwest of your camp, on the east side of the river, is the burnt-out ghost town of Limpany. In the sheriff's office, behind the counter there is a lock box containing another gold bar. This should give you a total of 10 bars and your $5000.

If you also look for homesteads (look at the Breaking and Entering achievement), you can find some loot that will also help towards this.

Once you have $5000, save your game.

You need to find a place to spend it. I found the easiest place to spend all the money was the tailor in Saint Denis. Go through the catalogue, buying one of every item in every color they have. You should hopefully get to $5000 by the time you get to the trousers.

Here are some not-my videos to help you with the three treasure quests.

    Best of luck! toast

    vegansoundHello,
Thanks for the tailor tip. I worked on this achievement buying clothes from the seller, but I didn't want to unlock it now, keeping it in stock as an easy achievement if needed (TA challenge...).
But I don't know why, now when I buy things from the tailor or elsewhere, the achievement's tracking doesn't progress. I'm stuck at 94%.

I tried to quit and reload the game and my save file, but nope. I didn't try to hard reboot my console, I'll try today.
I unlocked an ach on this game, yesterday, 'Artificial Intelligence - You discovered the fate of Marko Dragic', so the problem is not there. 😕

    Thanks for the help.

LewitunesWhy would you spend the money on clothes? Isn't it better to spend the money on Gun Upgrades and Cigarettes, as you can work towards other achievements that way?

After completing the epilogue you'll get $20,000 to spend as you please.

A fast way to spend $5000 is to purchase horses.

Its worth noting that if you plan on collecting all the cigarette cards you can keep buying premium cigarettes from the general store until you've randomly acquired all 144. This will cost between $500-$1000. It helps to first buy the largest satchel from a fence so you can purchase more cigarettes before having to discard them. For many players this will be their first completed collectable strand.

Mail the cards out at the post office to also get:

The gold bar method has been patched so the easiest way to earn money in 2023 is to follow this video to earn $50 every minute or so. (Thanks to Reborn Insanity for letting me know).

You will then have enough money to fully upgrade the camp. Donating just $250 will unlock:
Red Dead Redemption 2Give to the PoorThe Give to the Poor achievement in Red Dead Redemption 2 worth 12 pointsDonate $250 to the gang tithing box.

When you have loads of money, head to Saint Denis' tailor. Make a new save before you enter. When you enter, you should get pickpocketed. Chase the thief, hogtie him and then loot him. If he took more than $250, you will get that money plus a bit extra. He took $490 from me and I gained $610. The reason for saving is that you don't always get the money back. I tested it on three different save files so I believe this event happens for everyone. Please let me know if that is not the case.

Red Dead Redemption 2Take From the RichThe Take From the Rich achievement in Red Dead Redemption 2 worth 14 pointsRob or loot $250.

Then return to the shop and buy one of every item. You could also go to a gunsmith and upgrade all your guns or a stable for your horse.
