How to unlock the Home Comforts achievement

    Camp upgrades can be purchased from Cripps at your player camp marked with a Blue tent symbol. The easiest and least expensive way to do this is to buy 5 different flag colours. To do this you will need about $250 since each colour is $50.

    Making money online is a totally different subject and outside of the scope of this solution. Some good ways to make money are:

    1. Complete all the story missions which will give you around $400. This can potentially give you enough for:

    2. Treasure maps which are gained every 5 levels and give you on average $100 the amount is random. Treasure maps can be retrieved from post offices.

    3. Hunting animals for pelts, meat, and carcasses and then selling it all to a Butcher.

    BrasshandeNo problems here, bought five flag colours on the bounce using the gold Rockstar kindly gave me for nothing and the achievement popped straight up

    AWC GOTTII was stuck at 80% ...here's what I did to fix my glitched progress.

    Settings > Account > Remove Accounts > Select your profile > Home > Quit Game > Power Off Xbox (Hold Power Button for ~ 7 seconds) > Unplug power cord for a few minutes > Plug in > Power on > Recover your profile > Sign in > Sync process with Rockstar should appear > RDR online > Go to camp > Buy some fucking flags > Unlocked! dance

    I also had an issue where I would set a waypoint on the map but the red trail wasn't appearing on my mini-map. After I did this it starting appearing again.

    Btw I'm not playing online with GOLD...not sure how. Maybe because it's a beta?? I don't think that matters.

    SeitzzGot it this way. Used 10 of the 15 gold bars the game just gave me for starting. Bought one each time and then backed out to make sure the progress went up in the tracker.

    LoftyMagicIs anybody still having trouble with this unlocking? I've bought way more than 5 camp improvements, completed the steps suggested by AWC GOTTI above, and I'm still stuck at 80%.

    EDIT: I think I've found the issue here, it seems to be that once you use gold to buy an item, any other items bought within the same category will not count towards the achievement.

    For instance, I bought 3 flags with cash, the 4th with gold, and the 5th with cash again. Even though the tracker said 80%, the game had only counted the first 3 that I bought with cash for the achievement. Once I had bought a flag with gold, flags no longer counted beyond the original three (even though I bought all of them).

    To confirm that this was the problem I bought 2 further items with cash from different categories, one camp theme and one outfit for Cripps. The achievement unlocked straight away.

    Hopefully this will help some people, as the bug doesn't affect everyone, the best way to avoid this happening is to use cash to buy all camp upgrades until the achievement unlocks.

    paramoreRyanI had to do a sixth as well for some reason. Don't remember what I used to get to 80% but the first flag didn't increase it at all. Bought a second with gold and it popped.
