Alright, me and another guy on here boosted it and here's what we did. Almost every European map's original spawn point has an AA gun. Simply have the other player deploy two sticky dynamite and climb in. To help you see what you are doing, have the other player fire the gun straight up into the air and fly your bomber in 3rd person view. This should help you find the gun and line up a shot. It also prevents people on your own team from shooting them out of the turret before you can bomb. The down side is that people on the opposing team love to shoot down bombers and people on yojr team may bomb them first if they see the gun fire. It took us 3 maps for me and the other guy to both get the achievement. We obviously did this on conquest. The best maps are Arras and Narvik.

EDIT: DICE now allows community created servers where you can make your own game and then make it private. You would need to gather enough people to start a round but this might be ideal if you are having trouble in public servers.

EDIT: You need to be at least level 7 to open up the bombers, you need at least 4 players (2 per team) to start a round on a private server. DO NOT PUT A PASSWORD on the server or it will not track progress. If you are the host, just kick random people joining. Again, Arras amd Narvik are the preferred maps but Panzerstorm may also be good to get this achievement.

EDIT: The other online achievements may be done as well if you have the right number of people.

This is one of the more challenging achievements to obtain and can get somewhat annoying for most but hopefully with some of these tips you can unlock this with a breeze as I destroyed all 5 in one match with a friend. wink

    - From the Main Menu go to PLAY
    - ADVANCED SEARCH [on the right]
    Game modes: CONQUEST
Maps: NARVIK + FJELL 652 + HAMADA + ARRAS + PANZERSTORM (these are all the possible maps to obtain this, but I highly recommend Arras & Hamada as these were the only maps my friend and I completed this on, and netted us both the achievement in about an hour of time)
    Slots: 10+
    Regions: ANY
-Go to VIEW SERVERS or press cn_Y

Your goal here is to find a server as close to 16 players as possible as this is the minimum amount needed to start a match. We did not have much luck in the morning or afternoon time but in the evening it seemed a lot more active finding servers with this criteria and goal.

Join the server and invite your friend. You most likely will be on the same team or squad. The trick here is to hit cn_start and got to SCOREBOARD, now have you or your friend go to the profile of a member on the opposite team and click Join Game. Most of the time this will work and now both of you are on opposite teams.toast

To enter a plane you need to be on the spawn screen and hover over your Home Base (flag symbol). To the right of your Home Base there should be an icon like an propeller. If it's grayed and does not have a number next to it you must wait for a teammate to crash theirs or one to spawn. If there is one available you can hover over it and use the cn_RB to choose a plane that has bombs (little bomb 250lb symbol under plane icon).

Now for the person on the other team, spawn as Support class and make sure you have an AT Mine equipped (this is unlocked from the start, no level up required), you can also do this with the Assault class and make sure you have Sticky Dynamite equipped (this is unlocked from the start, no level up required). Now look on the mini map for a symbol that looks like a cannon (circle with two lines/barrels), you may zoom the mini map to make this easier by pressing cn_back. These stationary weapons are called Flak 38 or Pak 40, or at least these are the only ones we used. Once you have found one pull out your Sticky Dynamite or AT Mines using cn_right then throwing two down by the stationary weapon using cn_LT. Now enter the gun/weapon.

Now this part will vary with skill and may take some time to learn to fly (3rd person view helps) and drop bombs and such, but the player on the stationary weapon; his job is to communicate and continuously fire his weapon into the sky to become more visible and easier to locate. Now depending on control schemes used by the plane pilot they will need to switch weapons to go to equip their bombs, then simply find the other player and drop them, in hopes your accurate with your load[hehe] this should set-off the explosives and destroy the stationary weapon along with your friend. You can pick-up more ammo/bombs by flying by a resupply station on either side of the map(icon that hovers in the sky) and waiting in the lower right corner for your bombs to reload. Now do this four more times and hear that majestic sound and relief in your soul to have this rare achievement done. clap

Thank you to "Damron"! the link to his account is above.

Damron has kindly made a video guide demonstrating and acting upon the text guide I provided and has given me permission to share his video. We understand some enjoy just watching the solution in action and listening instead, so enjoy! smile

    - An extra tip that I didn't think about and didn't add into my guide that Damron shows in his video is that...If you use the Support class and change to the hammer you can build a stationary machine gun or Flak 38 and Pak 40 at certain locations on the map.

Homunculus FurySo twice in the last day I've blown up 2 turrets got the notification and it did not count towards the achievement. I only needed 1 more and got two yesterday and no luck. Did something change?

Mattyl22l@HomunculusFury - Make sure the turret is manned/someone occupying it while you destroy it. Also make sure you are not just killing the person and actually destroying the gun as well as that happens quite often.

Ok I see there are 3 other guides, and recently got this and thought I’d add a more detailed method with useful images and guidance to help as I personally found this very hard as not a flying gamer.

From the Main Menu set up your planes and move your bombers to the middle of the 3 slots, unless unlocked more variations of planes.

If so add to each of the 3 allocated slots, as shown below:

    External image
    External image
    Character Set Up (Support Class):
    External image
Now set up your character which is best to be the Support Class, as this has the AT Mines as default and no ranking up required:

    Game Mode Conquest:
    External image
    Advanced Search
    External image
Your set up should look like this and now search.

After each game has ended ensure you quit immediately, then search once again on your preset advanced search on Conquest Arras.

    Map Arras Only:
    External image
    External image
    External image
From the image above on the Axis side you can see the indication of a propeller with a 2 next to it this is the icon you need to select for your plane with cn_A, you need to be very quick in most games as a lot of gamers want your plane.

    Stationary Weapons:

    Flak 38:
    External image
    Pak 40 (far right):
    External image
    Points to Note

    1. Do not use any other variant of explosive apart from AT Mines, as other types of explosive eg TNT do not always work and the AT Mine will hit correctly.

    2. Two Players to Boost otherwise it will get too confusing, if in a large boosting group as this will get messy and take you a lot longer to gain.

    3. (a). Try look for 16 - 32 player games as more change of getting a plane, or being attacked by other planes.

    3. (b). Once loaded into a game look on your opposing team for the shortest Gamer Tag, and one of you leave and do a player search and then join off them.

    4. (a). If your being killed deploy with your support Class at your spawn location, and sprint forward and on your main path there should be 1 - 3 Stationary Weapon variants. Throw down both of your AT Mines by pushing cn_right and place with cn_RT either side of Gun then jump in by pressing cn_X.

    4. (b). Now as your opposing team mate fly's near over, shoot up so they can see the flak and direct them into your path.

    5. (a). Once you gain access to a plane immediately press cn_Y to change weapons to Bombs, then click in the right stick for a better view to fly.

    5. (b). Push right with cn_RS heading towards the opposing spawn location:
Axis = The right side of Point B (point of interest - South to North North/West).
Allied = The right side of Point D (point of interest - North to South South/East).

    6. If you miss your target or go for another run on a Stationary Weapon you need to reload your bombs, by flying through the ammo boxes which are in a silhouette form of boxes in two locations in the sky to fly through.

    7. The Stationary Weapons will spawn back within a few minutes on being blown up, in there original spawn location to rinse and repeat.

Once you are lined up press cn_RT to release your bombs to hit and blow up an Stationary Weapon it will come up at the bottom of screen with points for Stationary Weapon Destroyed with a Red Cog Icon and player killed with a Red/Green Ribbon type Icon, this will give you 1 of 5 a 20% on your completion bar.

As soon as you have done another 4 more times, bleep, blop, achievement unlocked!!!

This does have a slight delay so you are aware!!

    Happy Hunting

Here is the easiest way. keep playing and leveling up your Stuka / other bomber until they have 2x250 LB or heavier bombs. they will likely destroy an AA turret in 1 or 2 bombs so drop multiple if you can. The fastest way to do this is to go to a server browser and search for conquest on the map Fjell 652 and search for a game with less than 30 or so players. Then jump in a bomber and take out the turrets. It helps to know where the turrets are at each capture point as they can be hard to spot from the air. I got this in just under 3 full rounds of this method. Good luck guys!

After over a year of trying to knock out this achievement with little to no success I finally managed to complete it without any boosting on the newly released Wake Island map. Wake Island has a potential 16 stationary emplacements to destroy, making it one of the easier maps to at least attempt to get this achievement on.

Ideally, you'll want to use the variants of the US Corsair and Japanese Zero aircraft that have rockets equipped. They come with four rockets by default, but I'd recommend leveling up the middle specialisation tree on both aircraft to at least level four in order to gain eight rockets by default. You'll also be able to equip the specialisation to allow you to resupply rockets faster if you level into the middle tree beyond level four.

The best way for dealing with stationary emplacements is to get a good deal of height in your aircraft and then perform a dive bomb maneuver, dumping all of your rockets into the target and then flying back to base to resupply. You've got to both destroy the stationary emplacement and kill the player operating it to gain progress towards this achievement. You'll know when you've done it if a red gear icon shows up in your kill feed in the middle of the screen (indicating you've destroyed and also killed your target).

If you're struggling to find any targets on emplacements you can also fire a few rockets at empty ones in order to soften them up a bit on your next pass. Try to play the objective if there are no opposing players on the emplacements as well. If you can deal a great amount of damage to infantry and just be a general pain and annoyance there's a high chance one of them will jump on an anti-air emplacement to take you down.

One of the key things to do is memorise where the emplacements are - especially the anti-air as they can ruin your day.

Once memorised you can expand your mini map by using the back/view button. If you can't see an emplacement outlined in white on the map in the place it should be then there's a good chance it's being operated by an enemy. You can use this info to decide on your attack angle, which can be invaluable when approaching an anti-air emplacement that is looking for you.

Thankfully though I've thought ahead when it comes to helping you figure out where all of the emplacements are! Below is a link to a map I've put together outlining all of the emplacements on Wake Island. I've also listed what each one is below as well.

    1 - Type 10 Artillery Cannon (A Flag)
    2 - Type 10 Artillery Cannon (A Flag)
    3 - Anti-Air Gun (A Flag)
    4 - Anti-Air Gun (B Flag)
    5 - Anti-Air Gun (Between B and C Flag)
    6 - 6 Pounder Gun (C Flag)
    7 - 6 Pounder Gun (C Flag)
    8 - 6 Pounder Gun (Between C and D Flag)
    9 - Anti-Air Gun (D Flag)
    10 - Anti-Air Gun (D Flag)
    11 - Anti-Air Gun (F Flag)
    12 - Anti-Air Gun (F Flag)
    13 - Anti-Air Gun (US Deployment)
    14 - Anti-Air Gun (US Deployment)
    15 - Anti-Air Gun (US Deployment)
    16 - Anti-Air Gun (US Deployment)

As you can see, there are a lot of emplacements on Wake Island and the majority of them are anti-aircraft guns. It should also be noted that the four emplacements in the US Deployment will only be able to be destroyed when playing as the Japanese. You can more often than not spot anti-air emplacements on your attack run as they are entrenched in a circular defensive position which is very visible from the air.

It should also go without saying that if you're not the best pilot in the world and you're being tailed by an enemy aircraft then it can be a good idea to try and lure them into your team (especially if they're on an anti-air gun of their own or also flying an aircraft).

Some of the strategies I've outlined here can also work well on Iwo Jima/Pacific Storm too, though there aren't as many emplacements as Wake Island.

Hopefully this helps someone out and reduces the suffering and annoyance of trying to get this achievement unlocked. :)

I was able to do this on the new pacific maps. I did this without boosting but it did take some time. My strategy was to use the american plane and dive bomb the turrets. Since I am terrible at flying I ended up crashing every time. I got 4 out of 5 on Iwo and the other on Pacific Storm. I found the American Spawn on Iwo to be the easiest. If you do not have upgraded bombs than you might just kill the gunner and not destroy the turret (very annoying). I made a video of 4 of the turrets I destroyed. I hope this alternate method helps.

Okay so i managed to do this completely solo and i'm a terrible pilot, so if i can do it, you sure can.

    Here are some tips:
1- Play on either CONQUEST - FJELL 652 or BREAKTHROUGH - HAMADA do not bother playing any other mode or map.

2- Always drop your bombs then go resupply and drop them again, by doing so you'll get kills to lvl up your plane, and get people to focus more on you and get on stationary weapons.

3- When someone is on a stationary weapon, get as close as possible to it before dropping your bombs to increase the chances that all of them hit the weapon.

4- PATIENCE . It's not that hard but a bit annoying.

    Good luck to everyone.

This is not a guide, but merely a heads up. For some reason this achievement seems bugged for me. I don't know if other people encounter the same issue, if so please comment on this.

I have hit 80% of the progression twice now and when I make my 5th kill it resets to 20%. I have no clue what is going on, but I can't find anyone else having the same issue. There is no information about this at all anywhere......

Easy Guide to Unlocking 'Death from Above'

Here is a simple method to unlock the achievement, suitable for players all of skill levels.

    1. Create a Boosting Session on TA with a requirement of 6 players.

    2. In Battlefield V, the Host must Navigate to Play-Multiplayer-Create Community Game

    3. Add a Config with the following settings and save it:
    Game Size: 64
Game Modes and Maps: 1 Round, Conquest, Panzerstorm
    Password: No
    Minimum Players: 4

    4. Return to the 'Create a Community Game Screen' and press cn_A on your config to create the game.

    5. From here, players can join manually by searching by Game Mode and Map and looking for your server.

Tip: By inviting players through the Party or Xbox Guide, they will automatically join your squad. In order to have players on both teams, at least one player must manually join the server to be placed on the opposing team. From here, they can invite other players to balance the teams.

    6. You should be set up so that there is 3 players on each team. Each player will be assigned a role, which will rotate as players earn the achievement. One person from each group will be going for the achievement at the same time.

    CHARLIE GROUP (C Flak Gun)
1 -- German Pilot (the person going for the achievement)
2 -- Allied AA Gunner (the victim - the 'man' in the manned emplacement)
3 -- German Support Spotter (the pilot's teammate who is the best target to aim for)

    DELTA GROUP (D Flak Gun)
    1 -- Allied Pilot
    2 -- German AA Gunner
    3 -- Allied Support Spotter

    7. As you deploy, note that the Spotters should choose the Support class with the Ammo Box and AT Mines as part of their loadouts. The Pilots will choose the aircraft with the maximum number of high-ordnance bombs (ie. 4x 250lbs).

    8. The spotter and the gunner from each group make their way to a specified emplacement. The flak gun by C (the small house) and the flak gun at by the dairy farm barn are both recommended sites.

    8. The Spotter arrives at the gun and places one AT mine on the emplacement. They then will step back and shoot the mine, which should reduce the flak gun to 39/100 health. By now, the gunner should have arrived and can enter the AA gun.

    9. The Spotter can now make use of the ammo box to throw additional AT mines down literally as close the gunner as possible to facilitate maximum damage.

    10. The pilot can now deploy and fly to the site. They should be approaching the bomb site from afar at a medium height, and prior to approaching should have equipped the bombs by selecting cn_right.

    11. Dropping a bomb requires the Pilot to get their bomber on a good line (direction and angle of approach) for the target, and then they're going to need to dial in that bomb drop by using the cn_LT. Doing this when having the bombs equipped will give you a view from the underside of the aircraft. When the crosshairs line-up with you teammate, the Support Spotter who should be right on your target, drop your bomb with the cn_RT.

This will take a few tries and practice for all but the most experienced pilots. Some general tips are to reduce speed completely once close to your target; use the cn_LS rather than the cn_RS to make slight adjustments to your angle of approach; approach from a good distance away so you can set up your bombing run.

    12. Target Hit: Hopefully, the Pilot dropped their bombs and destroyed the emplacement, killing the enemy gunner inside. The Pilot should have used all 4 bombs, and will need to fly through a restock point (translucent ammo crates at each end of the map). While they are doing so, the Supply Spotter will be repairing the AA Gun and damaging it back to 39/100 health, while the AA Gunner redeploys and makes their way back to the AA gun. Once everyone is reset (and the bombs are re-equipped; there is a time delay) the Pilot can go for another bombing run.

Target Missed: The pilot restocks while the AA Gunner and Support Spotter wait.

Tip: It is is possible for the Pilot to successfully kill the AA Gunner but not destroy the emplacement at the same time. Consequently, they should pay attention to the text awards upon killing the enemy, and rely on the feedback from the Spotter ("No, you got him but the AA Gun is still standing."). For this reason you should turn on the Xbox Achievement tracker as it will update for each of the five required kills.

Tip: Pilots who struggle to restock their bombs and/or reset for a bombing run may wish to simply crash their plane and re-spawn a new one.

    13. The Pilot repeats steps 10-12 until they get the achievement, and then players rotate roles.

With some preparation, some patience, and some practice, all 6 players should be able to get the achievement in no time.
