If you are planning to play through career normally to earn this you have to win all the tournaments available in season 1, only the Las Vegas Desert Classic is unavailable in season 1 while the other 6 are. After season 1, should you win all 6 tournaments, you should be at rank 3. Then win the US Open and UK Open once more and after that you should be at rank 1 but the achievement won't unlock as you will have to finish the current season first.
I then played the Las Vegas Desert Classic before skipping the remaining events and at the beginning of season 3 the achievement unlocked. You may be able to get away with not doing the Desert Classic and skip it as well as the remaining events of season 2.
To contradict the previous guide, you don't lose money for not entering events, or at least I didn't. After winning the Desert Classic I returned to dashboard and copied my save file into a memory unit and then loaded up the game again and loaded my career from the unit, then skipped the remaining events expecting it not to work as I thought you would be punished by losing money and your ranking, but nothing happened and all remained the same thus unlocking the achievement.
Remember to select a custom player at the start of career, doing this as a pro does not count. Thankfully this achievement does not have to be done in one sitting like the Grand Slam achievement but to be safe I would advise to do the tournament you are playing in in its entirety in one sitting as quitting and saving mid tournament may glitch it. You can however switch off your console when you've finished a tournament and it saves before sending you to the career menu.
