This is now a LOT easier with the Public Teams feature introduced in one of the Wastelanders patches.

Whenever you log in, press the START button then RB. This should take you to the social tab. Scroll along until you see 'Public Teams'. Join an open team. If there are multiple open teams, just flick between them. Try to stay in each group for about a minute to ensure it counts!

You can server hop once you have gone through all of the teams on your server. However, I recommend that you just find a team offering 4x event XP and stick with it. You are in no rush to get this achievement (I guess), and sticking with a team and banging out some events will get you closer to the level-based achievements. Just make sure that each time you log in to the game, you make a beeline for joining a public team.

This achievement is fairly straightforward and can pretty much be boosted with a few friends or just one friend. The unlock requirements on some of Fallout 76's achievements have been known to be somewhat sketchy but this is as follows...

Start a world/join a random world. Have that friend join the game too. Have them invite you to a team through the social menu and then just hang out for a minute. Then either leave the team or leave the game entirely (essentially disbanding the team), load into a new world, and rinse-and-repeat.

Like I said, sometimes unlock requirements can be sketchy, as far as I am aware I did this just playing with people I knew as I hardly ever played F76 with strangers. In the event it doesn't work with a few buddies, asking around on the server using the social menu with the emphasis you're boosting for an achievement should help... some people, more often than not, will help either for free or for a few caps.

Take care out in the Wasteland folks!

UPDATE: Here's a slight addition from the comments user "oxHARMONxo" mentioned. As this achievement could be bugged depending on the type of invite used. They stated "I remember reading someone said they had well over 20 teams, but it only unlocked after a face to face invite. Just tried a face to face invite after dozens of teams and it unlocked first try..."

So if you're in doubt and can't get the invite to pop through the in-game social menu, try inviting them through any other means necessary such as through Xbox Live or directly face-to-face in game when hovering your cursor over them like you would to trade.

TheIcemanComethI can confirm as of a few minutes ago that joining one of the new Public Teams does count for this achievement. I was done playing for the night and joined one as the last thing to do and when I did, the achievement popped.

The achievement description is misleading. You do not have to "join" 20 teams. Mine did not pop after joining 20 teams, but I requested 20 people to join my team. Only 3 people accepted.

Request 20 people to join your team and the achievement will pop regardless if they join or not.

InquisitorZacInvites alone do not count anymore. You have to be in a group with the person.
19 times I grouped via invite by non person. But on the 20th time I grouped, it was a face to face invite. And it popped.
All 20 groupings were different people. And only 1 was done in person.

JdobemFYI, me and wife got this cheevo by only playing together.
We definitely haven't been playing for 20 days but some days the server kicked us out and we had to rejoin the team, and we did a few pK to each other. Anyway, my point is this works on same team over several days, so don't fret if you're playing with set group of friends.

I am absolutely convinced this is bugged because I swear I’ve joined like 50 teams by now
