  How to actually get the date change to work:
  

  *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***What you do is launch the game normally and go to Daily Challenges. Then, go to settings without fully closing the app (For example: if on Android, just press the Home button then go to settings). Change the date, then go back to the still open Wordament. It should tell you that the current month is over and that you are now in the month that you changed it to. Now, just start winning the challenges.

  Set your phone date to the last day of the month. Then, complete all of the challenges to unlock:
  

  The Diamonds Are Forever achievement in Microsoft Wordament (Mobile) worth 115 pointsWin a diamond Daily Challenge badge.

  
  &
  

  The Strive For Perfection achievement in Microsoft Wordament (Mobile) worth 166 pointsComplete every Daily Challenge in a month.

  
  
  Then, set your date to the last day of the previous month. Complete challenges until you unlock Gold.
  Repeat for each previous month until you unlock:
  

  The Go For The Gold achievement in Microsoft Wordament (Mobile) worth 138 pointsWin 8 gold Daily Challenge badges.

  
  Then, get up to Silver for the next few months until you unlock:
  

  The Go For The Silver achievement in Microsoft Wordament (Mobile) worth 122 pointsWin 10 silver Daily Challenge badges.

  
  Then, just reach Bronze for the last 2 months which will unlock:
  

  The Go For The Bronze achievement in Microsoft Wordament (Mobile) worth 105 pointsWin 12 bronze Daily Challenge badges.

  My progress has reset in the app for this. Do the achievements silently resume progress or do I need to start from the beginning?

  Has anyone had any luck getting medals in months that are prior to when you started playing. I'm trying to get the months with the smaller point requirement. I've got gold on one by doing 1 at a time and continually resetting the date. I don't think it counted even though it shows up while I'm in that month. At least my achievement tracker hasnt updated. Is it supposed to show on the awards page in the game when you go back to the present? It may just be that it's not updating my tracker because I'm pretty sure I at least have 2 legitimate bronze medals and it's only showing one.

  If you think tracking got screwed up from changing dates: play legit and just wait until the 18th of each month to do the challenges for gold. It worked perfectly fine for me after I gave up trying to change dates because it wouldn't let me play.
  
  My advice is to just do this legit now. It only takes ~2 hours of playtime each month to get the gold medal.

  If you're not in a rush, I recommend doing this legit. It seems changing the date (at least for me on Android) no longer works consistently, and could potentially screw up your tracking for this achievement.
  
  So, you'll have to wait until about the 18th of the month to have enough challenges to get gold. Just run through them in order, as completing a full day gives you a sizable point boost towards the medal. You really only need ~2 hours of playtime total each month to hit gold.
  
  Use the Wordament Cheat website that's linked in the walkthrough for Expert/Hard difficulty puzzles if you need to. In my experience, Balloons is the easiest, followed by Gold Rush, with Gems being the most annoying.
