How to unlock the I hear you can talk to fish achievement

  You can do this in the main hub or free play levels.
  
  Make one of your characters Aquaman (Gladiator) movie and one Cartoon comic Aquaman games story. Use and hold Y if needed for character chart.
  
  You will have to play some of the story if original comic Aquaman isn't unlocked.

  If you are already those two characters, you will need to change to a different character, then change back.

  Aquaman (Gladiator) /(Movie) is in the second to bottom row, six characters from the left. (They don't follow alphabetical order for TLC I guess.)
  And like HolyHalfDead said, you might have to swap out of one of them and back for this to pop. I had to swap back both of them but it finally popped when swapping in Aquaman (Gladiator).

  To obtain this achievement you will need to unlock both Characters first which are:
  
  Aquaman - Can be done during your natural 1000g 100% walkthrough as a hub character challenge.

  

  
  And
  
  Aquaman (Gladiator) - Can be unlocked by your first play through of the dlc level pack 1 RING OF FIRE.

  

  
  
  Now you have both characters unlocked go to the hub and hold the button and select Aquaman, he can be found on the first row and the 5th token across.
  
  Now tap to swop characters and hold the button again to select Aquaman (Gladiator), who is in the small dlc section at the bottom row 9 and the 2nd token across.
  
  As soon as your characters have been selected in your party, pop achievement unlocked.
