The grind here is real. This will take many many games. XP is earned through in-game actions as well as wins and simply playing both of the matches (since its a 2-game set - one match as each side.)

It takes 5,000XP to reach Level 2 with each additional level requiring 500XP more than the previous up to level 12. From that level on, its just 10,000 per level without the extra increase.

Here's how that works out:
Level 2 - 5,000
Level 3 - 5,500
Level 4 - 6,000
Level 5 - 6,500
Level 6 - 7,000
Level 7 - 7,500
Level 8 - 8,000
Level 9 - 8,500
Level 10 - 9,000
Level 11 - 9,500
Level 12 - 10,000
Level 13 - 10,000
...
Level 30 - 10,000

That means you need 262,500XP in total to reach level 30

You get 1,000XP for the first win of the day
You get 500XP for winning a round
You get 75XP for each extractor the workonics destroy if the game is a loss (workonic only)
You get 200XP for playing both of the rounds - regardless of outcome
You get in-game experience that seems to be solely based on the length of the game

As much as I was under the impression that competitive matches meant human v human gameplay, apparently that is exactly what you will find in Quickmatch. If you want to have a simple go of the other achievements and throw matches very fast, this would be the way to go. Grab 5 other friends, form 2 parties of 3 and search in that mode. You'll get the same 2 round structure found in the solo matches.

Obviously, this will go faster if you play actively and strive for a win each round. If you can rush the objectives and complete a round in just a few minutes, you are probably in better shape than being more methodical and ending up with a 5-6 minute game. Faster wins are worth much more than the few hundred extra XP you get for those few minutes more of gametime.

There's also the idle approach if you want. That said, there is an idle kick in this game and its pretty quick so you have to have some activity. I did this with a script for a TitanOne but a turbo controller can also do the trick. You'd want to turbo A as slowly as possible (selecting menu options and jumping in-game), have the left stick to the right (this lets it select the bot match over and over as well as move in-game) and the right stick either about halfway to the left or right so the character strafes around the playfield. If A is pressed too rapidly, you'll search for a co-op match instead of start your own solo bot match. If you hold RS too much, you'll just spin and not really move around well. The script that's linked uses 35% pressure on RS to the left. That's not something you can accurately replicate but it gives an idea of how much pressure to use. It seems if your workonic teammates are dead and you are in spawn, the enforcers never come to you and the orbital strikes seem to miss. Ensuring there is motion in the game guarantees the match will end at some point as you'll pass near some enforcers.

Using that script, I went from level 20 to level 30 in the span of 12 hours. Using that, I'd estimate 35-40 hrs for the whole grind if done idle.
