I personally accomplished this by building a pen from fences, and putting in a few cows. Then I placed 3 different types of Chickens in the pen with the cows and made sure that they're tiles were touching.

Geometric Cube had a different situation, here's what they did:

Edit: ok, mixing cows, chickens, pigs don’t work. It needs to be the same type of animal but a different variant. When it popped I had a leghorn chicken, New Hampshire chicken, and a aylesbury duck. So all birds in this case.

copeknightFences aren’t needed. I got this by plopping leghorn chickens, NH chickens, and Aylesbury ducks without fences. I just made sure the tiles were touching when plopping.

DwaggieniteI popped this achievement by putting 3 x 1x1s of three different variants of pigs together. I used 1 landrace pig, 1 hampshire pig, and 1 berkshire pig in a 3x1 non-fenced segment.

How I obtained the achievement is I used wooden fences and a wooden gate door and placed 3 different chickens. The chickens I used were Leghorn Chicken, New Hampshire Chicken, and Plymouth Rock Chicken and received the achievement right away! hope this helps
