  The Leviathan is the name of your ship in the world 'The Caribbean'.
  
  First, you will need 1700 White Crabs to upgrade your ship to its highest level which is Level 9. Second, you can use either of two methods to do this which I will discuss below. Lastly, upgrading your ship to level 9 will unlock Jack Sparrows Black Pearl for use in free roam.
  
  Now the first method of leveling up is to destroy enemy ships. When you destroy a ship, you have a chance of White Crabs dropping from them but this method is not so reliable.
  
  The absolute best method to do this is to head to an island called 'Horseshoe Island' which is to the far left of the map. On this island, you will find a big stack of barrels which you can destroy quickly with magic and will get 70+ crabs from. Head back to the ship and fast travel to Port Royal to reset the area and fast travel back to the island. This method took me about 20 minutes to do.

  Dont even have to fast travel back to Port Royal, just go to ship and Fast Travel Horseshoe Island again :p

  I easily got 500 white crabs from Port Royal during the tutorial mission.

  You are required to find 1,700 white crabs in order to level the Leviathan to level 9 which is required for this achievement.
  Before any unnecessary grinding I would ensure that you have visited and explored all the Island in the Caribbean, each island not only contains a decent helping of crabs but many contain useful treasures.
  After exploring all the islands, if you have not completed the True Captain achievement which requires you yo sink 200 enemy ships, start focusing on this. When sinking ships you may receive a small amount of White crabs. This method saves time and allows you to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and you should have all the crabs necessary by the time the True Captain achievement pops.

  Confinement Island (to the North on the map) also has about a dozen crab barrels on it to help expedite this achievement.

  You need about 1,700 total White Crabs in order to get to get the Leviathan to max level, which is level 9
  
  

  

  
  
  If you're in a hurry, go to Confinement Island. There are about a dozen barrels with White Crabs in them and no enemies, unless you get the treasure which has a classic game inside, but you only fight them once. When you run out of crabs to collect, just return to your ship and fast travel back to the island. There is no need to fast travel to Port Royal or any other island.

  This is definitely the best spot to get crabs. Way more than spots in the other guide and no enemies to deal with.
