This achievement simply as the description states is for getting an "Excellent" on all of the food preparing minigames. In this solution I will first be giving some tips on how to make this easier, sharing my opinions on what are the easiest or more difficult minigames and what those minigames are, and lastly about how many of each ingredient you need.

Worth noting, there are two menus. The Classic Menu, consisting of 20 Recipes, and the Special Menu, consisting of 8 Recipes. The Special Menu is slightly more difficult than the Classic Menu.

While technically, there are no real Prerequisites to unlocking this achievement, other than having both Menus Unlocked (Classic and Special Menu), I would highly recommend a few things.

First off, go for this after you've beat the game. This is because it makes it MUCH easier to grind out ingredients, because you have every location available.

Second, I would highly recommend wearing the Gourmand's Ring at all times! This is because while wearing it you harvest more ingredients, and the Chef Extraordinaire ability makes it easier to get "Excellent" when preparing food! Thank you MathGuy42 for the tip!

There are two ways to obtain the Gourmand's ring. The first is to make enough dishes to achieve a 1-Star Rating on your restaurant. The second is by trading in a post card. I would recommend just doing some of the easier recipes to get excellent to get the ring. It should only take a few!

Third, I HIGHLY recommend first going for the

achievement first.

That achievement solution has a very good list of all ingredients and how to get them. However if you prefer a visual walkthrough, this video is a great help (open in YouTube for time Stamps):

Hints and Tips:

This achievement becomes much less of a pain when you realize you can just save scum it. If you are unfamiliar with that term, it simply means SAVE OFTEN, and if you fail, simply reload your save. You can save however often as you feel comfortable. You could save after every "Excellent" if you really wanted. I completed all the "Chopping" mini-games, then saved, then after the other minigames I'd save after finishing 2 or 3. That's really my only "tip". Just save often, and when you fail, reload the save as to minimize ingredient grinding.

You do this by instead of hitting continue at the main menu, you hit "Load" and select your save.

The Mini-games:

The Bistro consists of 4 different types of mini-games you must complete for each of the 28 recipes. 20 for the Classic Menu and 8 for the Special menu. This mini-games are as follows:

Chop the Ingredients (Knife Icon)
Grind the Pepper (Pepper Shaker Icon)
Flambe the Food (Flame Icon)
Crack The Egg (Egg Icon)

Chop the Ingredients:

This mini-game in my opinion is by FAR the easiest. Simply rapidly smash cn_LSd until the ingredient is gone, then press cn_RSd to grab a new ingredient, then continue to smash cn_LSd again, and so on until you get the "Excellent". There is no penalty for going TOO fast in this mini-game, so just smash down and you'll basically always get "Excellent". I don't think I ever failed this mini-game or got anything less than "Excellent".

Grind the Pepper:

In my opinion the second easiest mini-game. This mini-game makes you press cn_RSd or cn_LSd as a circle encloses on the icon. This is actually fairly lenient. You can do this pretty early and still get "Excellent". It's better to be early than late for sure. The Special Menu makes you be a tad more precise, but not much more. I'd recommend saving after 3 or 4 of these. But again, it's all up to you how often you save.

Flambe the Food:

This is the second hardest in my opinion simply because there is a penalty for going too fast and that can be difficult not to do. You want to spin the cn_LSc clockwise in a quick but not TOO quick motion, then as soon as you see purple swirls around you, hit cn_RSd. This mini-game isn't too bad once you find your rhythm. I saved after every 2 or 3 of these.

Crack the Egg:

This is by far the hardest. This one took me quite a while to actually get down. But like the rest once you figure it out, it isn't that bad. You have to press cn_LSl + cn_RSr VERY SLOWLY until you see purple swirls around you, then press cn_LB +cn_RB. I found myself having my sticks about half way to their respective directions before I had the swirls, so use that as a reference. I saved after like every 1 or 2 of these, depending how ballsy I was feeling.

The ingredients needed:

I could list every ingredient and how many you need of each, but in reality there are so many one time use ingredients that if you already have Cornucopia like I suggest, that'd be totally pointless and a waste of my time and yours because after getting Cornucopia I only needed to go gather 4 additional ingredients. Instead I'd say a safe bet is to have about 3-5 of everything before going for this. I would recommend using the Gourmand's Ring, because you can get 3-4 ingredients per harvest. Any mini-game you do to get an ingredient (Flan or Hundred-Acre-Wood) if you see an "Ingredient-Name x1", just do that mini-game a few more times until you have 3-5.
