Your need to access your spaceport on your home planet, build a colony ship. It will cost 350 Minerals and take 360 in game days to build. Navigate to a planet that is fully habitable when you tap A on the planet you want to colonize you should see the option to Colonize Planet. The achievement should pop after your ship colonizes the planet.

Rista BIs this glitchy/buggy? Did all of the above, planet is fully colonized, has a governor and a couple of tiles with pops, one collecting resources and no achievement.

Update - After doing some research it looks like achievements in this game only pop if you play in "ironman mode". Supposedly the game tells you that somewhere but if if did I totally missed it. Seems like a really strange (and super dumb) decision but will restart in ironman mode at some point and see if that solves the issue.

IndiscriminatorI know you don't control this, but this Achievement should not be marked as "gained automatically by progressing through the main game." It's possible to play a full game without ever colonizing another planet.

davefrendyThe Iron man mode is a requirement of most of Paradox Interactives games. I don't understand why, but all there games seen to default to having iron man off, so you have to go out of your way to enable it.

I found this the hardway playing Crusader Kings 3 on PC, after playing for ages to get my royal court in order and plan the assassination of my dear brother, when it finally unfolded I got the kingdom, but not the achievement...

acedawg4A lot more goes into this from the start. First you need to Survey the planet that is habitable. The only ones I found were outside of my boarder so I was not able to Colonize them right away.
