This achievement requires you to finish the entire Island of Axir chapter with the battler's blade. This sounds fairly easy until you learn the battler's blade is a one hit kill weapon, anything you hit once dies, but you die in one hit as well. Basically, you don't even get one mistake.

First, let's cover getting the Battler's Blade. Whenever you finish a stage, you get tribute based on how well you did and how much you picked up during the stage. A couple things affect it, including not taking damage and how fast you finish the stage, along with the difficulty the game is on. If you go to challenge mode, it asks you to pick a costume, as well as a weapon. You can see how much tribute you need for each weapon here by highlighting it. I built tribute on the chapter called A Kingdom Overrun in the Diyar Highlands. About halfway into the stage or so there is a part where you need to kick some mages onto some spikes. You can simply keep deflecting their magic and killing them (gaining +5% titan bonus with each deflect) until you have 1000% titan bonus. Keep killing them as you desire. Finish the stage when you are done.

There are faster ways to build tribute, but for the 500000 or so you need for the battler's blade, that stage works just fine.

As for playing the stages with the blade : If you die (and you will) you do not have to restart, once you finish a stage in the chapter, you are good, and can move on. I did 3 of the chapters, and then quit out of Golden Axe to see if you had to do every stage in one run, and that is not the case. After I restarted I did the fourth stage and it beeped for my achievement.

The first chapter is easy, only the most basic enemies are here. Mounts are important, most enemies can't damage you when you are on it, unless they dismount you of course. ENEMY MAGES ARE AN EXCEPTION! I entered the third stage of the chapter and got hit by a mage while on an abrax and immediately died. So watch yourself.

The places you need to be careful :

The first stage mages show up on, obviously. Just use right button to deflect their magic. Deal with these first if you face a mixed group, you don't want to get hit while you are distracted with melee enemies.

The big axe guy at the end of the chapter. He attacks faster then any of the other enemy types.

In general, spam A button attacks on smaller enemies. It can hit multiple enemies, and is therefore very useful. On bigger enemies, I suggest using sprint attacks. They are fairly quick, and bigger enemies are usually faster attackers so you want to get them before they even have a chance to think about ruining your day.

Keep fingers on the left/right bumper at all times. You HAVE to make every block/evade, as one hit and it's all over.

Thanks to OldChili360 for mentioning the lack of description on how to get the blade. Can't believe I forgot that >_>

Thanks to Dazeldorffv2 for mentioning I had the wrong amount of tribute for unlocking the battler's blade. Haven't had the game for awhile and took a guess. Ended up being horribly wrong...
