For the record, this is every chest in the game. This includes ones found via Treasure Maps and the 5 each on the two Sky Islands. Treasure Maps can be found in specific areas and show as a golden "rare" supply point on your local map (see addendum, below, for locations). More chests will be added to the various regions at, or around, Chapter 12.

I only had some difficulty finding all of the chests in Crystal Canyon (they're hidden in crevices and within caves) and ONE chest in Emerald Town, which was all the way back in the grassy area behind the third, or fourth subdivision (from the left; it's near a tree by the water).

Added the following (very helpful) information by HATRED REMAINS:

Some of these you have to pick up, go to the location indicated and search for a yellow sparkle. (You have to have finished the 'Treasure Map' sidequest which is a storyline sidequest in Chapter 8).

Turtle Map: Crystal Canyon East Side. Treasure location: West of Sapphire Town above the beach in the Turtle-like cave.
Dragon Map: Cannon Island all the way North. Treasure location: Crystal Canyon at the top of the crystal structure.
Cloud Map: Aboard the Ship Wreck west of Sapphire Town. Treasure location: Law's Sky Island at the peak.
Waterfall Map: Luffy's Sky Island Northeast next to a chest. Treasure location: Behind the waterfall in Crystal Canyon.
Pond Map: Aboard the Pirate Ship in Ruby Village. Treasure location: The lone rock in the lake in the Graveyard.
Stepping Stones Map: You get this for doing the Ghost in a barrel sidequest (Ruby Village). Treasure location: Sea Prison - Aquamarine next to the bridge.
Boulder Map: Law's Sky Island North. Treasure location: On the mountain/cliff next to the Thousand Sunny.
Ruins Map: For finishing the 'Where's Buggy?' sidequest (You get it in Ruby Village after finding the Stepping Stones treasure). Treasure location: between 2nd and 3rd street Emerald Town.

Robster80So far the worst oen to find was the 2nd Thousand Sunny one - that one's not on the Sunny at all, but on the northeastern section of the peninsula East of the ship. You have to go back through Amber Harbor's east side and go over the wall to get there.

SLASHER000I thought I should add. I was stuck on 197 couldn't find the last 3. I had gotten all chests on the maps and I had also done all the treasure maps. I beat the game and then did new game plus where it goes back to chapter 14 but keeps you progress. I checked the map and had new chests to collect so I got them and unlocked the achievement. am currently at 201 chests. I also noticed in the underwater prison there is an extra area added which had an additional 12 chests so even if you cant find all the chests in the normal playthrough during new game plus you can get well over 200.

Inferno118Not sure if this is an unknown thing or not but I haven’t seen it mentioned; there’s a place called floating island or something like that if you use one of the flying air balloon/ships on sky island (laws island for me). It only seemed to give me the Y button prompt on one of them so idk if it’s rare

Inferno118Right so my above comment works. If I were to collect every chest in the overworld I’d have 220ish, so there’s a lot of leeway if u go to floating islands.

JullianGGYeah as of September 2020 There does seem to be more chests, so like inferno said, you have some leeway not much but hey, You wanna go to places above or below the map like...

    Law's sky island
    Luffy's sky island
    Secret factory
    Amber harbor mineshaft
    Topaz Mineshaft

Those will net you more chests when you are struggling with a couple more to get in the main map

Asmoden ITAAnyone known if treasure chests in DLC Episode count for this achievement? For example 150 in base game + 50 in DLC

GreatPotBandito^For anyone wondering. My achievement did not unlock until I had got every chest in the core game. No wiggle room.

Kiba Zolo 17I unlocked this achievement right when I opened my 200th chest. I was missing plenty of chests as the Naval Base, Steel City, Sea Prison ect... so you do have plenty of wiggle room.
