  Like others I'd tried many times following different youtube videos, etc. When I finally got it was completely different method.
  
  I climbed down into the truck and heading back up i didn't fully hang onto the swinging doors. I somehow had one hand on the door and the other on the inside of the truck. Towards the top I somehow had had myself hanging with both hands on the top of the truck, unlike all my previous attempts where I'd climb onto the swinging door then jumped onto the truck. Weirdest thing is as I was pulling myself up onto the truck (again, both hands on the top of truck itself and no hands on the door) I was slammed by the traffic sign and knocked off... but then the achievement popped. ie. I was never fully on the top of the truck itself.

  I got this on total accident. I climbed down onto the doors before they opened and could get into the truck. I climbed up to reset the attempt and it unlocked.

  This achievement was a bit buggy
  On the stage Trucks climb down into the truck
  Then climb back up
  If it doesn't pop go onto the front of the cars roof after

  Finally...
  I got it right now, but indeed it seems to be very buggy.
  I startet to walk around ON the truck, includind laying at the front dodging some signs. Afterwards I descended into the truck and wandered around there. I also climbed inside the truck, e. g. at the front wall, a bit. I waited for the one door to fall off the truck and started to climb. I missed to hit a sign and fell back down into the truck. At my second ascend attempt I wanted to use the truck side without the door again but I jumped on the door of the other truck accidentally. I pulled myself up, got hit by a sign and … plop, thus sweet achievement sound came along.
  I am not sure whether the jump to the second truck did a thing - but I thing it could be worth a try for the people that didn’t manage to unlock it until now. I feel with you and wish you the best of all - but most importantly the unlock of this bitter sweet achievo. :-)

  After multiple attempts I got it 1st try by doing the hanging off the edge of the roof after climbing up to it and having the sign knock you off.

  Very easy to unlock.
  
  Jump from the truck you spawn on to the side of 2nd truck, climb to the roof of the 2nd truck and then run to the cab, achievement will unlock.
