  You will earn this achievement while working through Adonis' quest-line. It is story-related and cannot be missed. There will be a marker to follow while you are on the quest "Dead Kings and Pretty Things." Below is what will occur to unlock the achievement specifically.
  
  

  *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***You will be tasked with recruiting an old Spartan warrior. You will head to a bloodline house and will meet Leonidas. He promises to join you on one condition; defeat him in battle proving you are his kin. After you defeat him the achievement will unlock.

  Can anyone help I have completed the mission for this and in fact the whole DLC and this achievement never unlocked.
  
  I even made a new character using the main screen shortcut and again completed the mission and it still hasn't unlocked....its the only achievement I have left to get which I should already have got.

  Bugged cheevos are one thing, but why do people keep bringing up that the level-shortcut didn't work either? It clearly states that all cheevos are disabled upon using it.

  As you progress in the Fields of Elysium, you will find yourself working through Adonis' quest line.
  
  The mission is Dead Kings and Pretty Things
  

  *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***Once you're in this mission, you'll have to find your grandfather Leonidas.
  Alexios/Kassandra will ask for his help and he will tell you to fight him so he can trust and believe you're his daughter's son and she taught how to fight properly.
  Once you're done sparring, Leonidas will accept to fight by your side and the achievement will pop.

  
  
  I've already got this achievement so I'd say it's story-related and can't be missed.
