  I'd like to elaborate a little bit with some hard numbers:
  
  the exact number of diamonds required for this achievement is 762.
  That means apart from the main storyline mission & cellphone tower payments, you need to find about 100-120 hidden diamond cases.
  
  That said, if you also get the camo suit and weapon crates (recommended), you'll need 855 diamonds, which is up to 150-160 crates.
  
  The amount of crates you need to find can vary, but generally if you drive around a lot and collect every single one you run across, plus do a little bit of exploring, you should be able to get enough of them. I got this at 88% into the game and with some 150 crates found.
  
  Really, this achievement isn't as hard as the TA ratio suggests...

  what about upgrades do you have to buy all them or just the ones that say bandoliers??

  I got this one at 62% because I retrieved all diamonds through exploration, every signal tower mission, and story mission up to this point. I bought every weapon, accuracy and durability manuals, and then remaining weapon upgrades. No vehicle, crate, or camo upgrade is required to be purchased for this achievement.

  Caution! The game tracks progress for this achievement in your profile data, not the save files! If for whatever reason your profile data for this game resets (you are asked to set the game brightness again when the game starts), the game loses track of the weapons and upgrades you bought up to that point and you have to buy them again in a new game. Avoid turning off the console while you're loaded in the game at all costs, unless the game freezes! Always pause and exit to main menu before dashboarding or closing the game.

  There is an EXACT total of 1000 diamonds in the game, Just enough to buy everything available. This includes all main missions, All tower missions and all the briefcases. Happy hunting. Oh and just like above you don't have to buy the odd upgrades for vehicles and what not

  Not much information there pal. Intact no help what so ever. I've bought every thing but it still hasn't popped. Is there a list of weapons?? do you need to do all the weapon shop Missions?? Do you get any extra weapons for helping all the buddies??? Or there missions???? Or extra weapons from anywhere because I've bought absolutely everything on my first play through

  You sure? all vehicles...all weapons and safehouse upgrades...when you buy everything you use all the diamonds
