This is my first longer guide, so my apologies in advance if it's a little long-winded, however following this should snag you three achievements for a total of 225g so hopefully that makes up for it.

First of all, make sure you set the game to Director's Cut when you start. The only difference between Arcade and Director's Cut is the ending. In DC you get a slightly shorter/easier one. The game will automatically "save" the treasures after grabbing them once unless you game over in that scene! If you game over and have to continue the game from that scene, you will have to get those scene-specific treasures again.

Second, to even get into the ending scene you must collect all 11 treasures hidden through the stages, they are collected by hitting a different direction than shown, mostly a left or a right. Sometimes the game will mirror scenes so I won't be able to definitively say if it will be L or R on those items. All the items will either be gold to begin with, or will flash gold like the normal directions/sword does.

The first three (arrow, bow and key) are all in the Castle while escaping from the Mother-in-Law. The Arrow will appear above Dirk while meeting the snake for the first time, hit Up to grab it.

The Bow will appear shortly after on one of Dirk's sides, hit the appropriate L or R to grab it.

The Key will appear while grabbing the fuel (?) for the time machine, again on one of Dirk's sides. Grabbing these three will also nab you the Novice Hunter achievement.

The next treasure, the Egg, will appear in the Prehistoric scene to the side of Dirk again around the first sword prompt, again hit the appropriate direction to grab it.

Next, the Ace card, will appear in the Wonderland scene. It will be above the door that shrinks, hit Up to snag that.

The next two are Apples in Eden. Both are on the tree while being twisted and pulled by the snakes. The first is on the left, and the second is on the right.

The next two, the Hammer and Butterfly are in the Beethoven/Musical scene. The hammer will appear shortly after the piano begins to take off, while you're jumping from book to book, you must hit the Down direction to grab that.

The Butterfly (Hardest one in my opinion) will appear while being harassed by the cat in mid air, the second time the Cat breathes fire at you it will cross the bottom of the screen and end up inside the Cat's mouth before disappearing. You must hit the Left or Right to grab that, and also snagging the Butterflied achievement. This one was super hard to see for me, I couldn't find it until I "watched" the game in the extras.

The final two treasures, the Knife and Hourglass, are in the final Ancient Egypt scene. The Knife will appear just after falling/rolling out of the big jar above Dirk's head, hit Up to grab that.

The Hourglass will appear after the sarcophagus falls and the male Mummy starts to climb out, it will be on the left or right (scene dependent) of the screen, and you must hit the appropriate direction to grab it.

Gathering all 11 treasures will unlock the final scene, and if you're in Director's Cut mode (which you should be) it will be a relatively short one.

MisterPeacherYes you can pause no problem. For the most part all it does is bring up the list of treasures to show what you do and don't have

As a heads up, collect the hidden treasures. Without them, you cannot finish.
