    Goal Attacks

This is from my Midnight Club: Los Angeles walkthrough.

I have included marked maps for the best route to take in each Unordered and Landmark race. has kindly created some videos for the Landmark and Unordered races

Goal attacks are located by the following route:
    > Press cn_start
    > Press cn_RB
    > Scroll down to the second option, Xbox Live
    > Press cn_A

The races are split in to 4 sub-menus: Ordered Race, Circuit Race, Unordered Race and Landmark Race.

You can not complete all of the races if you not have beaten the story as you need to race on every track. Once you race Andrew for a second time, you will unlock the final track.

Each Goal Attack has four pieces of criteria:

    > Win the race
    > Finish the race with less than 25% damage
    > Beat the time limit
    > Achieve all goals in the same race

There are a total of 74 races.

Note: If you have the South Central DLC, you should also see races in the same list that are not listed below. They are not needed for this achievement but there is another achievement for completion of them. They are easily identified as the DLC by the 'SC' icon next to the name of the race. The icon also shows at the beginning of each race from the DLC.

The best vehicle to use is a fully tuned Ninja. Use the weight transfer to help when turning corners. It can be tricky to master this vehicle but once you do, this should be a breeze. With the Ordered and Circuit races, you should need no help. If you have beaten the game, they will be a stroll in the park 99%. You have more than enough time to do each of the Ordered and Circuit races.

I have made maps for each one. I apologise for my basic paint work but there was not any videos for these at the original time of publication. I also do not have a capture card. However, DaChiefOfOwnage has created some videos and they will be shown below.

For the maps, I have kept the same legend as the game. The arrows will guide you around the track. Start at the GREEN arrow and follow the orange arrows around.
To keep the page shorter, I have put the map and video for each race in a spoiler tab so you can open the race you need. That makes scrolling a lot easier.

Waggie5150Commenting OT for the original guide. Finally mustered up the time and courage to attempt the Goal Attack mode. Owned this game since release but never did get very far in terms of completing this mode. The Landmark races were going to be the worst, no doubt, and the maps in the above solution worked an absolute charm. In some cases, it did take a 2nd/3rd run through because I missed turnings, but there was instances where I even strayed off the path you highlighted above and I still won/made it with plenty of time to spare.

    Great solution!

KylaAnggeKZYengFound out that the glitch is caused by winning a lot of South Central Goal Attacks before completing the main GAs. I had the glitch on me once, therefore, had to start a new game and do it again on the Murcielago DUB Edition.

KylaAnggeKZYengGreat Solution! but also, these races can be won with the R8, Gallardo or Murcielago, not just the Ninja or 1098R.

BoxrneKylaAnggeKZYeng, it’s a rare glitch, sadly nothing can be done except deleting a save and starting the game all over.

KylaAnggeKZYengHad to start over and play through until I got the DUB Murcielago in order to knock out these Goal Attacks again, Won a majority of them with the aforementioned Lamborghini.

Found the issue causing the glitch. Avoid the SC Goal Attacks until all non-DLC GAs have been won.

KylaAnggeKZYengOnly the Audi R8 or any of the Lamborghinis can win these races. I find it very easy to win these races with any of these cars at a maxed out state.

This is best done after the game and you have gotten 100% finished with the game.
If you don't have 100% most likely you haven't raced Andrew a second time.
Once you have 100%, it's best to do this on the Ninja and fully upgrade the bike.
If you don't already know, it helps a lot on a few of the turns to hit nitro as you are finishing some sharper turns. this helps you corner better. No idea why that is, seems like it should be the opposite.
Also you have to be very careful, cause you can't get more than 25% damage.
If you have more damage, just restart the race. You can see by looking at the speedometer. There is a yellow line that shows how much is 25%.
And at the end, make sure you got all of it at the same time including the time limit, if not you must start over.
    Showing both comments.
eHeadachescontrary to this solution I achieved this on about 80% game completion, I was only missing 3 landmark races which I unlocked by winning a red light race in the downtown area, But yeah It its a very good idea to start this towards the end of the game to make sure that you have all the circuits and ordered races available.

KylaAnggeKZYengContrary to using the Ninja, the Lamborghinis can serve as a better choice due to their AWD drivetrain, as well as there is also the Ducati 1098R, which is a faster motorbike than the Ninja.

After coming back to this game after starting it 15 years ago, I found a few tips and have some general advice for those looking at this. I'll attempt to not repeat anything, as there's already a bunch of guides saying the same thing. Use the other guides for routes, and note how every single guide says to not complete any of the South Central goals until you unlock this achievement.

First off, this achievement is NOT that hard. I initially wasn't going to even attempt this achievement because of the nearly 8 ratio, as I figured it was difficult since it was an old game. It isn't hard AT ALL, and don't be afraid to go for this.

Before starting, make sure you use the above/below solutions to confirm you have all races unlocked. I was at 100% completion in the game and was missing 3 Landmark Races. Landmark races are unlocked by finding, and beating, the Red Light Racers. Check your map and confirm you have 4 available(5 if you have DLC). I was going a bit crazy thinking I may have to go through the entire game again if I wanted this achievement but found the below info on a 15-year-old forum post on a PlayStation trophies site.

Just ensure to find the 4 red light racers; you will get a screen notification when you find each one. If you have South Central DLC, add 1 racer more.
You just need to find them in the required areas:
Downtown: It usually spawns on Flower St or North Figueroa.
Hollywood: Can be found driving by Sunset Boulevard.
Hills: Easy to find, just keep coming between Ventura Boulevard and 101 Freeway.
Beeches: Ocean Ave or 3rd/4th St.
    South Central: Crenshaw Boulevard.

Ordered races should all be easy, and once you get going you will get the majority of them done first try. Landmark and Unordered are a bit more difficult, but once you find the path(use other guides), they're all fairly easy. Circuit races were the most difficult for me because they were longer, which made the 25% damage requirement a bit tough. I used the Ninja bike, and things like fences and posts all added a decent chunk of damage. Take your time on these, as the time requirement is very very forgiving on most of these.

With damage though, you do not have to be perfect. There were times when I fully crashed, and had to wait for the respawn, and I still completed all the requirements.

If you're going for the 5k miles achievement, you might as well do these, as it adds around 1k miles. I finished the game with goal attacks and am only at 3k miles, with the lengthier online achievements left which will hopefully bring me closer.

Again, this achievement is NOT as difficult as the ratio suggests.
