Refueling your rocket is one of the first things on your to-do list when starting out your game. This will enable you to sent your rocket back to earth and more importantly sent it back to your colony afterwards with new materials you need so you can build more stuff. Make sure you play the tutorials to familiarize yourself with the game first!

To refuel your rocket you will need to produce fuel with a Fuel Refinery. You can build this building using concrete, metal and machine parts. You should have enough machine parts at the start of the game with you when you land your initial rocket. You can also bring a pre fabricated Fuel Refinery at the start of the game if you have the space and money.

Now once you have build the Fuel Refinery you will have to supply it with water. Water on Mars can be processed with Moisture Vaporators or harvested from subsurface permafrost deposits via Water Extractors. It is distributed via a pipe network, which it shares with the distribution of oxygen.

You will need to create one of these two buildings to obtain water(the Moisture Vaporator is more convenient in most cases as you do not require a subsurface permafrost deposit to start producing any water + you can bring these buildings also pre fabricated). Once you have production running you will need to connect your Fuel Refinery to your building that produces water via a pipeline network.

Once you have done that your Fuel Refinery will start producing fuel. You will most likely need 50 fuel to refuel the rocket. Make sure that your drones are in range of both the rocket and the fuel depot so they can start loading your rocket with fuel. You can click on your rocket to view how much fuel it still needs to take off. Once it is full, launch the rocket. Achievement unlocked!
