To do a low mechanic throw you need to hold LT and press the button for your intended receiver. This works best around the goal line because a catch is an instant TD. The achievement unlocks as soon as you get the touchdown.

AHGregThis worked for me in Ultimate team if anybody cares to know. I did the Score a Touchdown challenge for it.

Jelbrehir8Not unlocking for me. Was only playing offence. Two low throw TDs in the first half. Nothing. Switched to playing the full game for the second half. One more low throw TD and not unlocking still.

rhollidayI wasn't able to get this in Ultimate Team. I tried a couple of challenges, including Score A Touchdown. But I also haven't been able to get it in a franchise game yet so it may be an issue on my end. It definitely says "low pass" when they catch the TD though.

Edit: After trying many times in an Exhibition and reading some comments on the solution for the '22 edition I was able to get this in an Exhibition as the Ravens, without super simming anything.

You can get 4 achievements in one game (including this) with ease if you have 2 controllers

    - Set up a 1v1 Exhibition game with 1 minute quarters on Rookie difficulty (this should be ample for experienced players, maybe up this if you are less experienced to 2 or 3 minutes), and set no play clock.
    - Let the main profile go down 0-17 by the end of the first half. Also, make sure the main profile misses 2 random field goals.
    - In the second half, get the main profile within 3 points of Player 2 without taking the lead (i.e. 15-17, 16-17, or 17-17). With one of your touchdowns to reach this point, score with a low throw (cn_LT and receiver button) to unlock

    - Run the play-clock down to under 10 seconds, then call a time out. In the play call menu, go to the very bottom and select adjustments (the bottom option). Select any adjustment to unlock
