Use the 1st mission, where you must destroy two Union towers. You can knock out the majority of the kills here without playing through the mission again.

If you don't want to go back and replay the mission, go to the 6th Mission. You will be able to fire at several cannon positions on the shore from your Ironclad ship, which can get you a few kills.
