    You can use this glitch on the whole last level. For stages 1-5 you should be fine just using free play. On the last stage, if you press continue you get brought back to the beginning of the stage. Basically- do not let both controllers lose all lives. When one dies, press continue. The stage will not reset this way.

    K4rn4geYou might want to update the solution because this is exactly how you ensure how to get the good ending with the Real Tokugawa thanks to information from the developer. You can do it one of two ways, one being insanely hard with a one credit clear (1CC) but luckily there is a "mercy rule" method that is super easy. You need to continue 10 times or more and then you will notice that the last digit in your score at top of the screen turns into an X. As long as you have done this BEFORE reaching the final stage (level 6), you will be eligible for the good ending and will fight the Real Tokugawa and get the achievement. Hope this helps!
