There are a lot of ways to do this. I did it in an Ironclad run and here is my results screen:

To clarify, you cannot have any cards in your deck with a blue (uncommon) or yellow (rare) banner under the card name. These were common cards added to my deck:

Bash and Defend are Starter cards.

Body Slam was the key. Upgraded, it costs 0. Shrug it Off and Pommel Strike were useful for card draw. True Grit was useful to thin out cards throughout combat until I was able to remove them permanently and when upgraded, you choose the card to Exhaust. Warcry was a random late add that draws two cards when upgraded so it was a one time free card draw.

I had some good luck with my relics, as well, particularly one that adds, then removes 3 Strength on turn one and another that starts you with an artifact, effectively preventing the 3 Strength loss (making it permanent).

vSullySure. The check isn't then that certain cards are ever in your deck, just that your floor-to-floor deck is only common and starter cards only, at least when you defeat the Act 3 boss.

Here's mine - I did this with the lizard tail, a few flexes, block cards and body slam. I also had a small mix of attack cards.

It took a few tries - 3, maybe 4 to get this. It's pretty tough and feels like a mix of luck and skill needed.

LockieI can never seem to find Body Slam so I ended up with a small strength deck which had card draw, an Anger and Flex. Also had a relic that gave +1 strength per 3 attacks and a Lizard Tail which saved me on the final boss.

Like A Bob RossDo you need to beat the final boss for this (using all three shards), or is just beating the third boss accepted?

vSullyYou just need to complete a run through act 3.

XpovosA few extra pieces of information. I think you can add the higher rarity cards, as long as you remove them by the end. I was, through events and relics, forced to add a particular blue (uncommon) colorless card to my deck. I removed it shortly before the Act 3 boss (Dona and Decu that run) and then I used a power potion in the fight and took a rare power. So even though the rare was active to win the fight and the uncommon had been in my deck, neither was "in my deck" at the end when the check occurs. Doing this also adds the Pauper bonus to your score, in addition to unlocking the achievement.

Vr EnglishI got this using the Silent. The silent has poison which is a super strong common card. I had a fairly small deck which was pretty much fully upgraded by the end.

snikefriendI got it with defect. At first i thought i should go for a claws deck but once i got unceasing top, any time i saw a 0 energy card i took it. It was almost like having an infinite cards deck at that point

Trych MasterIt took a few tries, but I finally did it with The Ironclad. I didn't collect shards, and just took a whack at the heart. Very satisfying.
