the way i did this was i anaylised how the hardcore ai plays and instead like on expert if you have tanks it brings out gunships it usally starts with about 2-4 gunships depending on the maps starting units, but i made sure i had at least 1 transport on the battle field all the time. then i would use riflemen to cap uplinks and push defcon (if possible try and keep them out of the fighting for most of the battle), always push defcon, the ai only nukesw if you have 3 units in nuke range of each other, i used arty to take out the groung units but have a tank close by at the ready, keep at least 1 transport with your arty as gunships launch constant assults on you arty, gunships usally retreat when thir shield is depleated, also try to stick to conquest whenever you can as it is the most easyest game type to win.

I personally found it easiest regardless of faction to start with use the +dmg artillery batallion.
From there I found the assault missions easiest to complete as these simply require you to out survive the AI which can be fairly easily achieved.
The basic strategy I employ is to ensure you enginerrs have their mobility upgrade (capture and upgrade faster). then from the start start with transports and engineers. and take them to uplinks and capture. especially in conquest take the furthest away from your start position that are still closer to you start point. if there are 9 capture the 4 you are closest to and use the transports and engineers as a defensive perimeter. bring in two artilleries and a chopper to scout targets and keep everything at arms length until they exhaust all untis.

Depending on what you are allowed to start with the command vehicle should sometime be ommited from the starting lineup to allow for a quicker initial push to capture uplinks. Also keep in mind what batallion type you are fighting and try to keep one or two slots open to react to any emergency situations (WMD strikes can cause all sorts of problems if you cannot deploy anything to counter a WMD fllowed by a rush).
You will also find in some battles the Ai employs artillery, this is a bit awkward and will usually to either burn some cp to airstrike them down, or get two or 3 chopper units and zerg them altho it will usually end up costing 1 or 2 units so you need to decide if the artillery is causing enough of a problem to warrent it or if edging your own artillery into range would be better.

I tend to dashboard if i screw up rather than take a loss just to speed things along. so far US was completed in 13 turns and Russia in 11 europe i expect to be similar.
