This is easier to do at the start of a week and will take less games because the squad battle leaderboard changes and the points needed for each rank will increase through the week. You should still be able to get this on the easier difficulty it will take more games as you get less points per game the lower difficulty you choose. You do not have to finish in gold 3, you just need to get there at any point to get the achievement.
