  This is actually really simple, since you just have to travel 1000m consecutively without braking (LT) -- you don't have to make 1000m of progress in the level.
  
  I got this on the first level by just biking in a circle around a cluster of rocks for a few minutes.
  
  The achievement didn't pop during my circles, but it unlocked when I quit the level.

  I got no credit for when i quit out, i had to finish the level and i think this has to be done in 1 shot. i did it on the 3rd mountain trail 1 and didn't touch the brakes or crash and it popped after i continued to the menu.

  Quitting out without finishing the level worked for me. Just did like the solution said and pedalled circles around a rock formation early on in the first level, quit to menu, and the achievement popped. Maybe quitting out doesn't work if you haven't finished the level previously? Just a theory, mind.
