    EldritchSSI don't think anyone has compiled a list of what would be left over if you did it that way. Not all the pro moves are in the kombo challenges, so you could start by completing the rest of those.

    To be honest, if you can manage all the combo challenges then you won't have any problems completing this one. If I was in your position I would do them together. Complete one characters challenge, then go immediately and finish the rest of his moves before moving on to the next character, and so on.

    iMaginaryy^while the text version was very helpful at first, it seems to be incomplete. In particular, it's missing Subzero's third pro move, does not mention cancels (raiden), air versions of moves, and parries. Forgive me if I'm wrong/missing something, but it certainly does not seem complete.

    Date Posted: 1/13/09 1:01am Subject: Guide to Getting the Pro/Super Moves Trophy/Achievement
    Here you go guys. I just created a new account and played the story mode through again to unlock Darkseid and Shao Kahn.

    After doing that, I took some notes to help you guys who are struggling with the promove/super move achievement. I have to admit, the second time around, this award was a PIECE OF CAKE and SO MUCH IS NOT NEEDED to get the achievement. I really hopes this helps and alleviates some of the unnecessary stress that this game is causing you guys.

    Here is every move and promove with every character that you need to succeed. Enjoy

    Oh yeah, keep in mind, I play this on a PS3, so I had to change everything into attacks 1(X),2(Y),3(A),4(B). Because of all these numbers, please realize that I am human and that there may be a minor mistake here and there. To the best of my knowledge, every move is accurate though.

    Pointers:

    -I had a "clean" slate so I know what works and what isn't necessary
    -I completed the challenge in "Practice" mode
    -I did NOT do any "free fall combat"
    -I did NOT do any throws
    -I did NOT do any "close kombat"
    -I did NOT do any "test you might"
    -If I say "also in air", do the move on the ground and in the air
    -If something about this guide confuses you, ask me to clarify!

    Like I said, I just created a new account to start with a completely "clean" slate. I played story mode to unlock Shao Kahn and Darkseid. I then went to practice mode and performed these moves in about 30 minutes and voila, I was awarded with the Super/promove achievement. I know these work!

    SHIRO HARADAGood guide, i tought it was glitched cause i made 2 times the wrotten guide and still no cheevo, so i followed the videos. the problem for me was the Joker's parry, i did the move several times but you really MUST link it into a combo (x, x, D, B, x), so please notify it in the guide.
    And Mario163 for Jax's move you are wright, and for Joker, it's 2 different moves and both are possible to perform (but the second one is not a pro move, and don't even appear in the video guide)

    TrevisI did everything twice and did not get achievement, what do y'all think I am doing wrong? I can do the combos easily so i have no idea =/

    I don't know why someone gave the above solution a negative vote. The above guide that Eldritch posted does work and the videos are great if it doesn't work first time (as it didn't for me).

    dec1BEL (the author of the guide) does all the moves in Practice mode, but you CAN also do the moves in Kombo Challenge mode. I base this on the fact that I did my final move (Kano's parry) in Kombo Challenge mode. This mode is better because it gives you little flashes on screen to indicate the correct timings for the pro-moves. Sometimes they weren't noticable though (or just weren't appearing!) but most of the time they are there.

    On the issue of Kano's parry, I think man people get caught by this. It DOES need to connect with an opponents attack and even then it won't always work! On my first time through the list I did it in Practice with the AI just standing there, so nothing was parried. When I didn't get the cheev I went through the list again, this time setting the AI to easy so it would attack me. I parried kicks a couple of times (Kano grabbed their leg so it seemed fine) and still no cheev. Finally I linked his parry into a combo (X, X, Y, D, B, Y) and the achievement unlocked. Phew.

    For all the moves I made sure the hit the opponent or dodge/sheild from an attack (e.g. Batman's projectile absorb, sub-zero's frozen counter, or Catwoman's 9 lives evade). Set the AI to jump for the in-air attacks and to Easy for the counters/evades and stuff like Joker's electric hand shake move.

    Remember to pay attention to the moves that can also occur in the air. Like Wonder Woman's spin kick. You need to do these on the ground and in the air for the cheevo. Also notice the moves that have 2 or 4 different attacks after the main move (e.g. lui kang's cartwheel kick, joker's magic trick, etc.) You need to do all these variations.

    Note Raiden's annoying moves list. It all needs to be done. It's D, F to cancel the vicinty blaster and lightning bolts.

    If it fails to unlock for you and you have no clues why, then watch the videos and do everything EXACTLY as dec1BEL does it.

    braKitoPositive vote, thanks for clarifying Kano's parry! I did, however, get the achievement without either Sub Zero's Icy Counter, Batman's Projectile Absorb or Catwoman's Nine Lives Evade connecting with any attack. Not a big deal, but not necessary either.

    TrevisI did the guide about 3 times and where i messed up was for Flash, when you supposed to do triple uppercut combos and stuff also make sure you do the double uppercuts also. I think i was only going for as many as i could instead of focusing on all combinations. Keep that in mind for any character in case anyone tried this and got frustrated lol.
