Congratulations! You thought "Surely among these 13 solutions, at least one of them has to be one that works for both this and
that doesn't require me to watch a friggen' video, right?"
Well my friend, you have a hero, and that hero is me.
You shoot right here:
I replayed this level a ton because I didn't realize that Golden Path also requires you to not get hit, so on the unnecessary 12 attempts at that achievement (I unlocked mine playing on Realism, please be impressed), I found this spot, just as you back down the stairs. This was consistent enough that both 3-2 and I will never know exactly how many times I'd saved his life, one bullet a time. You don't have to be exact, but do take the time to line up a few key pieces:
- The balusters (yeah, I bet you didn't expect me to ALSO know stair and railing terminology) line up such that the left one is just to the right of the door frame, and the right baluster covers the bend in the the door knob, but not the tip.
- I'm aiming a little below the bottom of the Wainscot Cap (oh GOD I've watched too much HGTV during this pandemic), but also almost exactly between the two balusters.
Even if you hit and kill the guy, you'll hear one of them yell out as Alpha 3-2 walks by, but if it worked, he gets to
For me, the achievement did not unlock until the floor was cleared and I was lined back up behind his ungrateful ass ready to move on to the final floor.
