How to unlock the All for One achievement

The achievement unlocks after completing all the companions' recruitment quests and follow-on companion quests. There are six companions. SAM only has a recruitment quest and no follow-on quest. Parvati has no recruitment quest, only has two follow-on quests. Felix only has a follow-on quest--he is recruited upon encountering him on Groundbreaker and talking to him a couple of times. The following list depicts all companions and the quests required for the achievement.
    • Parvati: Drinking Sapphire Wine & Don't Bite The Sun
    • Vicar Max: The Illustrated Manual & The Empty Man
    • Felix: Friendship’s Due
    • Ellie: Worst Contact & The Low Crusade
    • SAM: The Cleaning Machine
    • Nyoka: Passion Pills & Star-Crossed Troopers
The following guide provides info on recruiting all 6 companions: Solution for One for All In The Outer Worlds

With the exception of SAM, talk to all the companions, periodically, to initiate their follow-on companion quests. There will be differences in when the quest becomes available depending on whether the Halcyon Path or the Phineas Path has been selected to progress through the story. In the case of Felix, it is also important that he have a favorable outlook on the player-character.

The follow-on companion quests are straightforward with the exception of Felix's. Felix is, sometimes, at risk to defect. He finds it hard to accept the expedient tactics of the player-character. If you do not have high determination &/or inspiration, always wear equipment that boosts the determination &/or inspiration skills when talking to Felix and, especially, when playing through his companion quest.

Armor with a determination bonus is easy to come by. Aramid Ballistics provides a variant of their standard troop armor with a Determination +7 bonus. Assuming one has the Armor Master perk that doubles armor and headgear bonuses (but not armor mod bonuses), the armor provides a 14 point determination bonus. The Improved Silver Tongue Kit mod would add an additional +10 leadership bonus--boosting both determination and inspiration by 10 points. Thus, the modded armor provides a 24 point Determination bonus. A Nice Hat (used in the Well Dressed achievement), with the Armor Master perk, provides an additional 10 points in each of the two leadership skills: Determination and Inspiration. Accordingly, the modded armor and A Nice Hat together provides 34 of the 40 points required to pass a Determination skill check to keep Felix in the party.

As stated earlier, it is highly beneficial to wear this equipment before speaking to Felix and when doing his companion quest. The best leadership helmet is the unique, named Honor Guard Headware. But that is only available on Eridanos late in the game and only if one is playing the Murder on Eridanos for The Outer Worlds. Most likely, one would have completed Felix's companion quest before it becomes available. However, it would be a great piece of equipment to use if Felix's companion quest were to be deferred to after the DLC. The following illustration depicts an assortment of equipment that boosts leadership and personality traits and, when worn, improves Felix's affinity towards the player-character:

It is possible to successfully complete Felix's companion quest with him making the decision to leave the ship's company and go with Harlow. This does not void the achievement but it removes a valuable companion from the party who can boost one's valuable persuade, locksmith, and sneak skills. If one has determination over 40, one can pass a dialog skill check to retain Felix as a companion.

The other companion quests are all straightforward. They are triggered by talking to the companions and then following the journal instructions and the quest markers to complete. When all the quests listed above have been completed, the achievement pops.
