Edit: The patch appears to have solved achievement issues.

WARNING: Taking the FREE map from lupo in Willow's End appears to void this, since it has a spirit light "cost" (even though it is zero).

The patch to fix achievements has been released.  However, it disables fast travel from the map without purchasing the ability, which *could* impact trying to combine lightless, shardless, and look at the time (speedrun).  However, I do firmly believe you can speedrun the game in under four hours without fast-travel from map. My speedrun using this feature was 2h20min. Not being able to fast travel at any time wouldnt add more than another hour to my run.  I *believe* you can still fast travel from spirit well to spirit well without buying this, as well. Just not from anywhere. A user below already did a 3h20min run without buying the fast travel upgrade.

For this one, do not spend ANY spirit light. Not just at shops, even buying a map will void it. And anytime you buy something the game saves so just avoid talking to any sellers at all.

Astral Ninja XI just beat the game post-patch on Easy in 3h20min. I started the playthrough after the patch was released, and beat it without buying the fast travel upgrade. The only things I bought were the glade well using ore and the "free" map for the willow's end area. I did not get the achievement.

I'm not sure which of these cause it not to trigger because neither actually cost me any light. My suspicion is that buying that last map is the culprit. I just wanted to add that data to the pool.

LifeExpectancyYes buying that map counts as a light transaction even though it is free. Spendi g gorlek ore does not impact this achievement.

imthatguy19FYI achievement doesn't pop until after the ending cut-scenes

Shred Asics 13Doing the long sidequest unveiling the map items doesn't count against I would assume?

LifeExpectancyNope the sidequests do not preclude this achievement.

LucasmaniaXLKnow this might be dumb, but spending Gorlek Ore does not void the Lightless/Shardless achievements right?
Posted by LucasmaniaXL on 09 May at 20:58
    LifeExpectancyNo it doesnt.

I Argonaut IEven after the patch, this is very doable when following the video. I could not teleport at will, but you will be running to get to shines to warp less than 10 minutes. I was too careful and saved too often worried about re-doing things and I should not have stressed that much. I am not supremely talented at the game and just finished less than 2:40.

KIRITO 231I started the playthrough after the patch and I 've just beat the game. I bought the map in Willow's End and It cost some Spirit light. Even though in the end the achievement was achieved, although It has not pop up.
