How to unlock the The Forest for the Trees achievement

    Although the tutorial automatically places you in Providence Ridge, The achievement will not unlock at the Firewatch Tower, as the base is already claimed for you. You won't get it until you move to a second base.

    So the quick way: Make sure you pick the campaign game, not one of the add-on game modes. Start a new community, choose to SKIP the tutorial, and select the first map (Providence Ridge, new to the JE). As soon as you are in control, go up the path Infront of you, and up the hill past the broken bus. At the top is the Firewatch Tower site.

    Kill the handful of zombies inside, and claim the base.

    Boom! Achievement Unlocked.

    Remember for this achievement you need to select CAMPAIGN, not Heartland or Daybreak.

    CryptikKaijuI had an issue with this achievement not popping for me when i tried to do it but fixed it. I uninstalled my game and reinstalled it and then just created a new community and claimed the first base that you have to capture in case anyone has issues with this one.
