  You can find special desks in the DLC area that let you summon a ranger NPC to help you fight, one of them and its location is pictured below.
  
  You can get the 5 kills over multiple rangers and still get this achievement, but it possible to get all 5 in the room after the desk pictured. The ranger AI isn't very good so you'll have to whittle enemies down to little health and wait for the ranger for eventually kill them.

  The ONLY time I ever got enemies to spawn at this location was to walk into the room without a Ranger, then call for one when enemies spawn.

  I just got this achievement and used the above method. I always spawned the Ranger first as sometimes he got stuck on collision. If enemies don't spawn I then fast travelled about four or five times and then they usually appeared when I returned to again. I'm mainly commenting though because I wanted to say the achievements in Control seem to ping long after you've actually achieved them. In this case, I was at 40% before the Ranger died, then fast travelled four or five times so the enemies respawned and then tried again. I saw the Ranger kill at least four enemies who I had whittled down to low health, but when I checked the achievement progress it still showed 40% after he had died. I then fast travelled to another checkpoint and checked again, and no change. Then I actually hit the 'Home' button on Xbox as I was about to uninstall the game when the achievement pinged! So just saying give it a few minutes if you think you've made progress before giving up.

  I'm maxed out and the enemies in that area are level 8. he's level 7. I'm doing almost no damage to them, and I don't know how to kill them. I have assists on, i'm not sure if that matters. I turned off one hit kills because obviously I can't damage them with that on. this is my last achieve..

  If you've already finished the main DLC missions, you might have trouble finding enemies for the ranger to kill. The best place I found to farm this was at the Warehouse Control Point.
  
  Fast travel to Warehouse, head south into the tunnel to find the radio station. Radio for a ranger to be deployed to you and then had back into the warehouse area to make enemies spawn. Try to chip the enemies down to low health and use your shield to distract them while the very bad Ranger AI tries to kill them.
  
  The 5 kills can be across multiple rangers, so just summon another one as needed.

  "isn't very good" is an understatement. I floated around one area chipping down all the enemies I thought were relatively easy to kill, only to find my ranger pal getting boiled alive by a geyser that kept erupting, one he was standing right on top of. Between that and getting stunlocked by melees from Sharpened Hiss, I'd say they have the relative intelligence of a sea monkey.
