Gator Meat achievement in Maneater

The Apex Alligator fight is located in Fawtick Bayou. It's actually not the first boss fight, though it's the first region you unlock.

Alligators are tough to fight. With strong jaws they'll try to clamp down on you, which costs you a lot of health. Dodge with RB when they lunge for you, then attack from below or the side when possible.

When you defeat the Apex Alligator you'll unlock the Amphibious Organ mutation.

For me to get the apex alligator to show up I made sure I had grabbed all collectibles in Fawtick Bayou and progressed enough through the story to the point I was in Golden Shores as it was part of the story to go back and kill her.

for a game that relies on combat, the combat system is the worst, attacks barely do damage, it takes 3 hits fully upgraded to kill you, stunning and dodging dont work but are flawless for the bosses, no wonder they added to to gamepass.

I went in as a level 10 killing this apex and for some reason he got stuck so got this fairly easy thanks to the games buggy side. I believe you get this after every quest in that location is done. You don’t need to get all collectibles to unlock the apex.

@keyhole69 No, Bully of Smeg is correct. There was nothing wrong with the combat or the controls. The only possible problem there would possibly be is if the player has no idea what they are doing in the first place or just simply suck at the game. Nothing Want2CtrlF4 or you have said is correct.

The Whole Lotta Rosie mission appeared the moment I finished the final Fawtick Bayou story missions, two catfish hunting ones in a row. I still had 3 license plates and 1 nutrient cache left in the bayou so collectibles weren't a factor for me.

If you're having trouble with alligators, a good general tactic is to stay at a 90 angle from them. When they lunge at you, evade then turn and bite them 2 or 3 times, then evade again.

I just got this on Game Pass. Ive done all objectives and all collectibles in Fawtick Batou but the Apex Predator isnt showing

More objectives show up after you get to the Golden Shore. Once you complete these two the apex will show up. She's not too different from the hunted gators, just bigger and meatier. I kept her stuned with my electric teeth and she went down eventually.
