A speed run guide on earning the 100 chests opened achievement in Minecraft Dungeons.

    MISSION: Desert Temple
This can be done at any point in the game to help boost your power level as there is a good variety of gear to be earned out of these chests. You are only guaranteed 2 chests with this run but as seen in the video extra chests can appear on the path to the room. Once the run has been done, pause and exit to camp and repeat.

Additionally you can check the water ways ahead (2:25 in video) before entering the chest room, the spawn points for them chests are in the water pools on either side.

    NOTE
The camera angle on the chest room shown is the 'lucky' angle allowing you access to the grey superior chest. If the most common angle appears then you will hear the door opening but be unable to enter. This is why you are only guaranteed 2. My personal maximum per run has been 7

    HOPE THIS HELPS

thatNoseyParkerAnother option is just playing through Creepy Crypt (secret mission found from Creeper Woods).
I found over 20(!) chests in there by exploring all the dead ends. Anytime you find a button in middle of the room or a (already) dead guy, interact with it for a quick wave of enemies and a guaranteed chest.

oI 420 RUSH Io@thatnoseyparker finding large chest maps was never the issue.. I just put up a video showing you where chests would always be so there was no time wasted.... all maps have a large chest variant. Glad u wrapped up the cheev though

Godric KimmyI don't know if something is wrong with this achievement, but the tracker for mine has been on 80 percent all day, and I've been playing through several levels all day getting plenty of chests. I feel like I've opened at least 100 chests today alone! No achievement yet sadly.

Edit... I figured out the issue, my game had somehow been accidentally switched to an offline game, and when I switched it to online I got both this one and the enchanted mob one.

This is Pretty Easy, though its a bit of a grind

First, Play through Desert Temple and EXPLORE the map, make sure you find the scroll that leads you to the secret level "Lower Temple". Once done, load up the level. The reason why I chose this level? This Mission has 9-10 chests in it which are easy to find, however your power level should be high because you'll get swarmed with plenty of mobs. I'd recommend playing on Adventure mode or higher.

Play through the level and don't worry about the time, just make sure you explore every nook and cranny of the map and you'll find them 10 chests. Just do this level about 10 times, and you should have the achievement.

    Hope this helps.

I too was having issues with this tracking and then I think I discovered something. The only treasure chests that counted toward the achievement for me were 1) The ones that appeared on the map which you bring up by pressing down on the d-pad and 2) The chests on top of the pigs that you have to kill to get what's inside of them. The chests marked supplies and those in Creeper Woods DID NOT count toward the achievement for me. Doing it this way it updated on the tracker every 10 chests.
