7 0 0Actions Report Solution Minor factions are the creatures you encounter roaming around in armies or living in villages with the "monster" icon above it. They have a grey flag or icon above them, not colored like major factions. They are assimilated by first pacifying (destroying, bribing, or parleying with) a village in a region where you have built a city and then going into the Empire screen and paying the necessary Influence points to assimilate them. Assimilation gives you minor benefits and lets you build that faction's units.You must research two additional technologies to unlock the second and third assimilation slots; check your tech tree to and find out what they are called and which era you can research them because the tech can have a different name depending on the faction you are playing. For example, I had to research Native District in Era II and Cultural Indoctrination in Era IV while playing as the Broken Lords.
