How to unlock the Hot tourist destination achievement

There are now 5 biomes in the nether. One is basically the standard nether, and all areas you already explored in your world before Minecraft’s recent nether update will stay in that biome. In other words if you already had a world and opened it up to get these new achievements, you have to explore beyond anyplace you already explored.

To do so, what I recommend is:
    1) Copy your world; you MUST do this. If you do step 3 without step 1, your world will never give you any achievements, ever. Even if you turn Creative back off.

    2) Open the copy.

    3) Switch to creative mode in the settings. Again, DON’T do this without having made a copy of your world first, or you will no linger get achievements in your world. Also turn on coordinates in the settings.

    4) Go to the nether and fly around until you find the new biomes. Fly by double-tapping A. Lower yourself with B.

    5) Write down coordinates of the five new biomes as you find them.

    6) Close this world and return to the original world, which is NOT in creative mode. Or make a new copy just in caee you die or get lost, just don’t put it in Creative.

    7) Return to the nether, to the coordinates you recorded. To travel around the nether I like to climb up into the ceiling first, because you can tunnel through it without having to build new ground very often or dodge lava. But watch your feet as you’re tunneling, in case you hit a spot where the ground is gone. If you’re around Y=120 you’re pretty safe. When you get to each biome, it takes a while to trigger (this seems to be a general issue with the new batch of nether achievements). Watch the achievement’s progress bar to make sure it has been recorded before leaving the area. I didn’t come out of the ceiling for a couple of them, so that doesn’t seem to be needed, but feel free because if yours isn’t triggering.

    The four new biomes are:

    a) Soulsand Valley: the ground is virtually all soulsand, with glowing blue fires scattered around

    b) Basalt Deltas: lots of clustered black pillars of varying heights

    c) Warped Forest: lots of green structures, technically “trees” but don’t really look like trees

    d) Crimson Forest: red trees; not as obvious because red blends in around the nether, but look for the tree-like structures.

There are pictures of these biomes online, feel free to look them up but most of them you’ll know when you seem them.
