This guide was originally a bit of a test, but it seemed to pay off. This is less hands on, but offers the freedom to read the Bush Trip navigation log and enjoy the views of this region. I haven't tried it in the other bush trips and don't know if they have autopilot's in the aircraft.

    Step 1:
Set the autopilot altitude to about 2000 feet above the ground level of the airfield and turn on flight director 'FD'.

    Step 2:
Take off as usual and gain some altitude (about 1000+) and engage autopilot 'AP'.
Activate and set vertical speed 'VS' to +500 feet per minute, any more can cause a bit of speed loss.
Activate navigation mode 'NAV' and the autopilot will take over.
At each waypoint, the next destination will automatically kick in and the aircraft will turn automatically.

    Step 3:
Now you just need to keep an eye on the navigation log so you don't overshoot the destination airfield. Also, you need to keep an eye on your altitude and speed, there are a few mountains along the way.

    Step 4:
On your final part of each trip you will need to disengage autopilot to slow down and make your approach to the airfield and land. Once you come to a complete stop, the game will let you know you have completed the trip and you can either quit out, or start the next one. When you continue, rinse and repeat these steps and once you land and come to a complete stop in Santorini, the achievement will pop.

I always closed the VFR map, so I don't accidentally click the back on track button.
If you are in a rush, you can increase the sim rate to speed up the process.

If you have any questions or tips, let me know and I'll add them in.

Ben L0nd0nI just did the Patagonia bush trip with the developer teleport method again. The achievement did NOT unlock (the one for completing all activities DID!). Don't waste your time. This is with latest version

SincereSeeker6It seems like you can no longer enable Autopilot on bush trips, or I'm doing it incorrectly.

Edit: Nevermind, you can, I just don't know how to do it..

This is the easiest of the bush trips as the C172 is much less annoying to fly than the taildraggers (IMO). Just navigate from waypoint to waypoint, the route automatically loads into your GPS and you can just track each new heading. Occasionally you'll need to deviate to steer around a mountain (especially in the Greece legs) but for the most part you can just fly direct to each waypoint. The shortest legs are 10 minutes and the longest was a little over an hour. The total run is 9-10 hours total. Landing on the runway and stopping will complete each leg, you don't need to do anything else. The plane does not get refueled automatically as it starts in the exact same position the last leg ended at, you will need to bind the "Repair and Refuel" hotkey manually and use it to refuel periodically. Fuel stations don't work.

Do not use the Back on Track button, you will not get the achievement.

Thanassi360So, are you able to use NAV and Altitude controls on the Auto Pilot? Or do you have to manual fly it?

HXT 71This is another guide that is useless to someone new to the game. Please if you are to post a guide be specific step by step on what needs to be done. example which settings need to be adjusted and set. Don't take short cuts and assume everyone has the knowledge of the game you do. Your "Guide" is more of tips which should be posted in forums or after a complete guide has posted and you have something to add to make it simpler. If you didn't know what you know of the game and just installed the game do you really think you could earn the achievement you are posting a guide for with what you posted as a guide? Try it and see. That is what you should try to put up as a guide and not just some tips.

Lol. You want him to explain here how to fly the plane? People spend months on Pilots license, and it took me about a week in this sim to feel confident on this plane. And you want him to explain all of that here? In the guide to a bush trip achievement? If you are that new to the game, maybe it is too early for you to get this achievement?
