How to unlock the Journeyman achievement

Easiest way to do this would be to start a flight that goes over the ocean, engage autopilot, then let it run for a few hours. I used to decrease sim rate (because it counts real-time so it makes the flight safer/longer) but some people are saying that sim-rate is making the game not count time during the flight. Unlimited fuel should still work as well, don't forget to enable that in the assistance menu.

The following guide is currently not working and was potentially patched:

This achievement (and other similar achievements, ie: 50 hours at night/IFR/rain) are considerably the easiest and fastest achievements in the game.

To speed these up, simply start a flight in whatever conditions you wish, fly for a couple minutes, pause the game, then tab out and change your computers date and time to sometime in the future, don't go crazy, just do about a week or less at a time, if you get the message that you lost connection, reset the time and try again with less of a time gap. Then simply go back to flying and watch the achievements role in.

SILVAF0XXSo I'm doing as the post above suggests and it is adding to my profile flight time (currently at about 495 hours) so in theory I should unlock this later today.

One thing to note however is that this game is buggy and often reverses progress towards certain achievements somehow. This has already happened to me on "jack of all planes" where I have a log of all planes being flown for 300+ hours and all have registered landings, yet I'm stuck at 95%! I'll no doubt have to do all of these again!!

In terms of hours flown, my progress stopped being tracked or logged at some point this year after one of the updates. Despite me flying many hours through the three bush trips I seems stuck on about 187 hours flown for ages. When I did make progress towards this, after a game restart it actually went back to 187 hours!

When I check my stats now, at the top it says 490 odd hours, but underneath where it says total secs flown, the number shown equates to about, yes you guessed it... 187 hours!!

This would explain why the achievement tracker is not progressing, but the big question is, when my profile shows a number higher than 500 will the achievement unlock??

I couldn't care about my stats frankly as long as it does unlock... if it doesn't then this idea of abusing the quick resume feature (or perhaps the other PC time alteration exploit) will probably be confirmed to be patched

I'll update when I know more, but if anyone has unlocked using this technique could check their total time flown in stats and convert it into hours it would be interesting to see if you also see this discrepancy

it's not really a solution but more information
If the game crashes your flight hour is canceled
For example if your total flight time is 295 then you go up to 310 and the game crashes your total flight time will return to 295 and not 310
So check your total hour in the game and not by statistics on console
