[N.B.: These directions have only been tested on the original Japanese retail-disc release of this game, not on the newly released On Demand version in the U.S. and U.K. - but in theory, nothing should be different.]

This Achievement is awarded while playing Trizeal when a small spinning turtle (Gamera-style) appears right before challenging the Stage 3 boss. It awards 10,000 points as it passes by; it's easy to miss if you're concentrating on the enemies, and it does pass by pretty quickly, but you don't have to do anything specific when it shows up - its appearance is enough. That turtle appears if you have five bombs in stock when you reach the point in question. There are two ways this can be done: the standard-logic way (which is stupid hard) and the secret-ship way (which is FAR easier).

The challenge here is that each life starts with only two bombs - if you lose a ship, your new one comes in with two, no matter how many you had when you took the hit - and there are only three bombs available to be collected prior to where the turtle shows up. This means that if you're not using the secret ship, you have to get there not only collecting all the bombs on the way but also never using a bomb and never losing a life!

If, however, you're playing as the secret ship - the XIIStag (pronounced "Twelve-Stag"), which is only available by a not-so-secret code (it's listed in the Japanese manual) - you have another means of earning bombs: a percentage appears in the bottom-left corner under your bomb stock. Collecting the medals that rain down from defeated enemies and special events increase that percentage by 0.05 percent for every 10 points they're worth. When it reaches or rolls past 100%, you're awarded an additional bomb. Although your bomb stock still resets to two each life, the percentage carries over from life to life.

So here's how to set yourself up for success:

- Go into the Trizeal options and set the difficulty to "Very Easy". (You can't get on the online leaderboards this way, but the Achievement is still available - that's how I got it.)

- While you're there, make sure you have some button set to "Rapid Fire (30/sec)"; by default, there isn't one. While playing as the XIIStag, you have little reason not to use that as your only fire button; you may find yourself simply holding it in the entire time.

- Select Trizeal from the Game Play menu, but when you get to the title screen, don't push Start just yet. Press these in this order:
cn_right, cn_left, cn_left, then the Shot button twelve times.
If done right, you'll see "XII" appear in big, red letters in the upper-left corner. You can then press Start to begin the game; note well that the usual intro cutscene won't play - the battle starts immediately!

- From the very start, just stay put and hold in that Rapid Shot (30/sec) button until the first wave of enemies is gone. You'll collect all the medals they drop automatically - they'll fall right into you - and you'll already be 97.45% of the way to your first extra bomb.

- Grab the two power-ups, then put your ship at the bottom center of the screen and hold in that button again for the next wave. Once they're gone, you'll have a third bomb, and be 45% of the way to another.

This should give you both a good idea of how the bomb earning goes and an excellent start toward earning this Achievement. If you end up losing a life, you may well be able to fight your way back up to five before long if you're careful (it's a medal falling off the bottom of the screen that causes them to shrink), and you can afford to use the occasional bomb and still meet your target.

Here are a few additional notes regarding the XIIStag:

- The ship has a side attack, just like the Unit-4 from Exzeal. The Rapid Trans button becomes a Rapid Side Attack for the XIIStag. You will likely discover in fairly short order that this is not nearly as useful in this game as it is in Exzeal, but don't forget you have it.

- The bomb works differently from the standard ship; it also works like the Unit-4, negating bullets in a radius around where you drop it. In fact, every bullet erased by a XIIStag bomb adds 0.1 percent to that bomb stock buildup, so if things get ugly, you'll actually be reimbursed in part for dropping one.

- There's only one main-weapon system in the XIIStag; there's no weapon-swapping. In fact - I suspect this would be considered a bug - the Trans button drops the XIIStag bombs, and the Bomb button becomes another Shot button. (This makes spawning the UFO at the start not worth it, as you'll have to drop a 10,000-point bomb in the process to earn the 10,000-point bonus.) You will find the rapid-fire capability of the ship is excellent against weaker opponents, but against bosses you'll be packing decidedly less firepower than you'd have with the standard ship.

For those who want to do this the hard way with the standard ship and/or would like the extra help for the XIIStag, here's where the three collectible bombs before where the turtle appears can be found:

- Destroying every single enemy ship during the "BREAK OUT!" segment of Stage 1 causes the last one to drop a bomb icon. This also causes a 10,000-point medal to fall down the center of the screen shortly after (for the XIIStag, that's another 50%!). Be careful about this, though, as you'll then have to face an extra segment right after with metal dragons firing lots of bullet streams. With the standard ship, you have no choice but to brave this, and you'll have to do it without any bombs; with the XIIStag, you'll still turn a profit if you make it through dropping a single bomb (and if you have to drop two, you might still break even).

- About half-way through Stage 2, in the center of the screen, there will be a pillar with a white, pointed top. Hover your ship over that point for a few seconds, and the white will fly away: it's a bird. After a few seconds, it will drop a bomb icon on its way out.

- Through the first half of Stage 3, you'll be flying over the aft of a large combat ship from right to left. It has a large turret on each of its corners, and several smaller turrets in the center that pop out of a set of six hatches (multiple turrets will pop out of each hatch over time). If you manage to destroy ALL the turrets on that pass, a bomb icon will spawn near the bottom-left of the screen. If the screen starts to turn to where you're facing the side of the ship and the bomb hasn't appeared yet, you've failed. Just try to destroy everything, and good luck.
