Last year and the year before, the guides said you can do this in a regular game mode and pull the enemy goalie. But in this one, I have been getting many of the shot achievements in shootout. All you need is a second controller.
First, Go to shootout mode and choose offline. It does not matter what team you play as. Second, right before you start the game, go to game settings and click away goalie to ON (or if you are the away team and the second controller is home, then vice versa). Third, start the game.
Before you shoot, use the second controller and move the goalie away from the net.
Flipping the puck requires you to click the
button in and while pressed in go down to a 6 o'clock position. After that, simply press the
button and it will take the shot. If done successfully, right when you score the achievement will pop.
Try not to be too far or too close to the goal, I would prepare and press
right when you hit the crease. If executed too early, the puck will move too slow to make it into the goal.
