How to unlock the The Collector achievement

There are five types of collectibles to gather in PAW Patrol.

    1. Pup Treats: Most Important! These are scattered all over the levels and are also rewarded from beating minigames. They are the main collectible in the game and there are 7250 total. You cannot unlock all the other collectibles until you have all 7250/7250. You must gather all from every level as well as all from every level of every minigame to gather every one.

    2. Badges: Every main mission has 3 hidden badges to collect and each badge represents either a character or animal collectible and thus all 3 badges need to be collected on all main missions to gather all collectibles.

    3. Character: These will be the last you unlock once you get all the pup treats. They are unlocked by getting all 3 badges on every story mission and by gathering all pup treats.

    4. Location: These are gathered from playing on every location. You must play every main mission and any of the minigames that are not set in the same location as the main missions to collect all of these. According to AthleticMist, the last only unlocks at 4,500 pup treats.

    5. Animal: These are gathered by collecting all 3 badges in every story mission. There are only a few and this will be the first collectible achievement you unlock. According to AthleticMist, the last only unlocks at 4,200 pup treats.

It should be noted that there is an achievement for gathering all badges and all pup treats on a level for each level in the game. These will all come naturally when trying to go for this achievement.

AthleticMist759It should be noted that you don't actually get the last animal badge until you get 4,200 pup treats. You need 4,500 pup treats for the last location badge. For me these both happened to unlock during the mini games.

If you're using this game for the Rewards App, it helps to be aware that this game has a lot of opportunities for you to get multiple achievement unlocks while you're playing the mini games and main story, but I'm sure you could work around them by intentionally missing some of the pup treats in story missions, Zuma's underwater mini game, Everest's snowplow mini game, or any combination of those options since they have pup treats inside of the mini games and story levels, instead of all of them being at the end of the mini games, even though you'll likely have a double unlock with the ending of the story and a possible triple unlock for 100%.

Skye's flying mini game can be used as a last resort to intentionally avoid the pup treats, but I recommend missing them in Zuma's underwater or Everest's snowplow mini games since one of the achievements is to get all the pup treats in Skye's flying mini game across all 4 levels of it.

As for story missions just miss a treat or bag on purpose, since every mission has achievements for both finishing the level and getting all collectibles, the final mission has 3 achievements one of which is just for finishing the game and it may not be possible to avoid a double unlock on that mission, from what I know about it. Be aware that there are situations where the collectibles will disappear and, in those cases it means you've gone too far into the mission.

DoomScottAhh, thank you. I wrote this after having finished it a few days before so I must have forgotten that. I just wanted to write it down and explain it because it would have been nice to read before I had started. I mean, super easy game and all, just nice to know what is what.

AthleticMist759Don't worry about the last character badge as it is linked to getting all 7250 pup treats, though for some reason some of the character badges as well as the locations category are being flagged as new when they aren't new and, yes I've gone back and unflagged these multiple times only for it to update the pup treats counter and not unflag the stuff I've mentioned, if anything this might have something to do with the save file. I'm not sure if this actually means anything for completion.

I will go back and finish this game tomorrow morning since I only have 1 mini game left to finish as this game really hasn't been difficult at all. It helps to know the exact amount of pup treats needed for each category so you can potentially avoid unlocking multiple achievements until you actually intend on unlocking them. Maybe Rewards Hunter will go through this game one day.

Update approximately 1 day later: Well, I ended up getting a triple unlock for 100% completion and the collectibles that were being flagged as new when they weren't new didn't prevent 100% completion thankfully. I may or may not replay this sometime in the future. In the meantime, though I might as well finish off the original Plants Vs. Zombies, it might be a good idea to turn my first comment into a rough alternative guide.

Bilbo3DCNCAlso note, if you replay a mission to get pup treats that you missed the first time, DO NOT return to the lookout. You must finish the level or you will have to start the mission over again.
