This is going to take awhile to get.

If you know the original 2048 game, it's played on a bigger grid.

I chose the Easy mode which is a 3x3 cube.

    Basic strategy-
pick either the lower left or lower right for the largest value.
Pull all the pieces down, and to the right, combine in powers of 2.

TRY TO AVOID SHIFTING THE CUBES UP, unless you have no other moves.
This tends to 'trap' lower value squares that are hard to get rid of.

You will want to make a 'grid' of increasing values around the
largest values. Its easy to make 8,16,32. You will want to have
to get them up to the 64,128, 256.

Work on one side of the cube as long as possible, and only when
you run out of moves, shift the cube area around to use the other
sides. You can also combine them left to right.

There are solvers out there, but its too much of a hassle, and this
    grid size is different.

Here's a solve showing some of the strategies used.

I still haven't gotten this on hard mode. Only got up to 512.
