This achievement can easily be unlocked very early in the game.

You can unlock this achievement as early as in the beginning of the story mission “Rude Awakening” in Fornburg, Norway at the beginning of the game. This is where I unlocked it.

Rude Awakening is the first opportunity you are able to assassinate an enemy from your horse as assassinating enemies is introduced to you in the story mission "The Prodigal Prince" which is directly before it.

    - Call your horse by holding cn_left on the directional pad.

    - Mount your horse by pressing cn_Y.

    - Press cn_B to crouch on your horse.

    - Silently approach an unsuspecting enemy and the “Assassinate” prompt will show up.

    - Press cn_RB to assassinate from your horse.
The achievement should unlock immediately after.

    * There are some practice dummies in Fornburg, Norway (close to the docks) that you can use to assassinate from your horse.

    * There are some practice dummies around the Hidden Ones Bureau (after you build it) in your settlement in Ravensthrope, England that you can use to assassinate from your horse.

This is a video of how it is done:

UtdRhysStill won't unlock, I have 2 achievements left to 100% this game and its quite annoying this "easy" one is glitched..

x BIG DOM xThis achievement was not unlocking for me either but I started a new game and played up to the point of getting the hidden blade from Basim in Fornburg. Once I had the hidden blade I summoned my horse and used the dummies close to the dock in Fornburg to assassinate one and the achievement unlocked. Finally the game is complete!

Most easily done on your settlement once reaching England.

Mount your horse (hold dpad left to call it), and then press B to crouch on top of the horse. You can do an assassination from this position on any of the practice targets around the settlement. Just make sure its a killing blow for it to count. You can weaken the practice dummy with a melee or ranged attack.

Chief0fZombiesAnother good spot to get this is in England during the Bartering Quest in Ledecestrescire. Upon reaching Tomasradir and talking at the Gate, the settlement will be passive. However the Fighters are still showing Red. Simply crouch on horse and assassinate any of them and reload save to be passive again.

    After progressing the story
    *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***
you will progress north to the next story mission called "Birthrights".

Along the path you will encounter this world event:

    External image

This event sets you with children playing a game of raiding and pillaging (naturally) and at the location there are dummies strewn about for you to take down. You can approach a dummy while on your horse, tap cn_B to crouch and then cn_LB to trigger the assassination when prompted ... And pop goes your shiny, relatively easy achievement.
