  This is what I did to find the firefly - hope this helps!
  
  1) Go to the location highlighted in the video north east of Grantbridgescire in England (there is a fast travel close by)
  2) Once there make sure it is night - you can meditate to change the time
  3) Find and catch firefly (press Y to catch)
  4) Return back to camp and head to the waterfall in the north of the camp. As you face the waterfall on the shore look to the left by the building for the spot to release the firefly (by holding Y). It is just to the left of the spot to take a drink/wash

  I found a few videos for the locations and even meditating multiple times I still haven't had any shown up. Even waited a few min and nothing. Would it be a glitch for me ?

  Extremely bugged. Tried at least 5 times yesterday, but didn't pop.

  Can confirm from ResidentDante that there is a firefly at the small lake just above the letters N and T in Grantebridgescire. Chase it down and release at the waterfall area at Ravensthorpe.

  Hi All,
  
  In this video we will show you how to catch a firefly and release it in your settlement.
  Firefly locations are random press Y to catch one. Then simply fast travel back to your settlement. Once you are back at your settlement, go to the waterfall area and press Y to release the firefly.

  So people don’t get confused, there’s a prompt to press Y a little the the left side of the waterfall back. If you’re in the wrong spot you might get a prompt to press Y and start drinking from the pond

  Firefly locative are not random. They are in set spots. If you fail to catch one after chasing it, go back to where it was hovering and it will have returned and your can try again.

  Fire Fly location can be found at night on the island between Grantebridge and Duroliponre where the Mystery location is. This mystery location involves an old man stating to be king and you have to find the ring. Once I found the ring and completed that small quest I went behind his camp to go back to my boat and found a firefly. Then I returned to my camp and you go face the waterfall to a spot to release the firefly and the achievement unlocks.
