There is a quicker way of reaching level 99 for all characters.

Starting from about 60, this took me less than an hour.

You'll need one Pep Pip per battle from casino, quest rewards, crossbow completion, or mini medal exchange, put them on Sylvando. I recommend finding Prince Faris in his room in Gallopolis Castle, his quest is easy and gives 4 pep pips. Which should be enough to hit 70, and from then on they are replenished.

Main Abilites: Hero - Pep Up (Luminary), Erik - Critical Claim (Guile)

Two of these: Jade- Lightning Thrust (Spears), Serena - Thunder Thrust (Spears), Eight - Hatchet Man (Axes)

    1. Get Rab Erik Sylvando Jade and into pep and swap them out. Have the Hero use Pep Up when done. ( about 5 minutes spamming defend)

    2. Save your game!

    3. Start a random battle anywhere with a party of Hero, Erik, Jade, Sylvando

    4. Hero, Jade, Erik use Haulellujah for guaranteed drop + exp bonus (Jade is usually fastest)

    5. Swap Erik to Rab, Hero Pep Up, Sylvando uses a Pep Pip on Jade.

    6. Wait for the enemy Moves to conclude

    7. Hero, Jade, Sylvando use Electro Light to change the battle into a fight with 3 Metals (flee and reload if this fails)

    8. Swap Sylvando for Erik

    9. Rab uses Pep to force sleep the Metals

    10. Begin killing with critical abilities only

Every 10 levels the encounter changes
50: 3x Vicious Metal Slime: About 300k exp, Seed of Life from each
60: 2x Vicious Metal Slime, 1x Liquid Metal, About 350k exp, Happy Hat from the Liquid
70: 1x Vicious Metal King, 2x Liquid Metal, About 800k exp, Pep Pip from Metal King

At 70+ the Metal King returns the Pep Pip you use. Before 70 you'll need to rely on any Pep Pips you have from quest rewards or 125000 tokens in Casino.

Gain 4-5 levels per from 50-70, and like 7-8 from 70-99.

Credit for this method goes to the excellent google docs spreadsheet which you can find here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pGQGO9M_OLNstXbY45t1...#

NoGreat guide. Fighting the blue floaty guys at the summit of First Forest is a great place to do it because they continuously heal the party.

Note that it's not really worth doing this before level 50, since the type of metal slimes you encounter before then only grant about ~45k XP per cycle using this method.

HUN playmoreI strongly suggest doing this right after getting the "Master of the Skies" achievement where the final stretch of the game completely opens up. The main story of the game until that point is ridiculously easy so you can arrive at that point way below lvl50 but every fight afterwards requires much higher levels, especially the trial where you have to beat opponents in certain turns. If you reach lvl99 right then and there it means you can skip every non essential fight for the rest of the game and stomp the bosses!

Also don't forget that you actually DON'T need a pip to do this. Pep your team and save, then initiate a battle, cast Hallelujah and swap out Rab and Sylvando (if they are in the active team to conserve their pep). Defend with the team until Jade is pepped up again (Hero should reach it faster, if not then use his pep up ability). Switch Rab and Sylvando back and Electro Light / Sleep then Thunder Thrust / Critical Claim them. There is only one downside of this method: if you get robots, you wasted 5 or so minutes getting pepped up again but the risk is minimal. I only got robots TWICE from lvl45 to lvl99. Pips are hard to come by (aside from the 4 in Gallopolis), farming them needs preparation and a lot more time than simply defending for another 5 minutes.

Enjoy Magic Bursting everyone with Veronica for the rest of the game.

This and all of the mastery achievements are for reaching level 99 with a character.

The easiest way to go about this is by managing to pep up sylvando, jade, and the hero and using the pep power Electro Light. This has a chance to either spawn metal slimes on a good roll or robots otherwise. Pepping up the main hero is easy with the ability pep up, but the others you’ll have to either wait and fight mobs or farm pep pops/pips.

Make sure to have Erik in the lineup and that he knows critical claim when doing this; it’s a guaranteed kill on even metal king slimes. For jade, using lightning thrust (guaranteed crit) will hit more often then not, and then the hero can hit a falcon slash and hope for a critical.

For added benefit, its best to do this in the final labyrinth trial. Metal king slimes spawn naturally occasionally, which is 150k experience without having to use pep powers. You can also farm pep pops here on the gold grabbers (the slot machines).

This took probably around 2 hours climbing from level 60ish, but not bad overall. When I was doing it, 2 liquid metal slimes and one metal king slimes gave about 2 levels to each character.

Edit: Pep up is in the hero’s luminary tree, lightning thrust is in Jade’s spear tree, and critical claim is in Erik’s guile tree

Apostle92627How do you get Electro Light and Critical Claim?

    NOTE: I'm in act 3.

Edit: Nevermind. I found Critical Claim.

LordSmorcThis is a really good strat, went from low 60s to 99 in about 3 hours. Once you get the hang of what to do you can do a metal slime fight every 5 minutes or so. If you have it you can give Erik the Meteorite Bracer for +100 agility, that way you can get your Critical Claim off before any of the slimes even get a chance to flee. My Erik had over 600 agility which I think helped a lot. Just defend until Sylvando and Jade are pepped up.

Apostle92627This works best with Haulellujia and Dirge of Dundrasil.

While the other guides certainly are good, i didnt want to have to deal with pre-pepping up characters, or certain pep powers on certain enemies. I just wanted to play the game.

Here is what i did today to go from level 74 to 87 in 45 minutes.

Party, Hero, Erik, Jade, and a healer. All except hero on auto battle.

Travel post game to the trials area, and go to the 3rd trial. this will put you in the castle map (i cant recall the name) where it has 5 floors and you fly up between floors on a enemy bird.

now, have Erics critical hit skill unlocked. I also had him equiped with knifes and Jade with Spears.

Now, simply fight everything, every enemy, you will find that 1 of every 4-5-6 battles a large metal slime appears, well on auto fight, Eric will auto crit the slime and kill it, every time, unless the slime flees before Eric can attack. even Jade would auto crit it as well.

every time you win a fight with this slime in it, you get around 150k Exp. now if you get lucky and your characters are pepped up, you get around 600-700k EXP. i didnt try to get them pepped up, i simply fought everything in sight.

    hope this helps.
